Agreed. Teena Marie is in the range with them. Some people would say she wasn't but that's because their affinity to a certain singing style/standard is limited. Respectfully so, each one of these artists had a specific singing style and qualities that made them uniquely special while setting them apart. It all depends on what's most appealing to the individual listening. The main reason Whitney and Aretha are more well know and thus, arguably more successful than Teena is a matter of timing. The level of success in that industry hinges heavily on timing.

Devin Doyle I agree with you, I have seen artist chew gum, what is the big deal, I thought both artist did there thing but ,Tina is from my generation I know her music more then Faye, but she was great too. Great job ,Faye still got it, I always thought looking at her she is shy, Faye she does not try to be a huge star she does her thing, and I love this song, I did not know Faye recorded this with the late great lady tee , love this song great job to both women.
