i remember when my stepdad showed me this song a few years ago, he's a punk rocker obviously but I'm now just getting into punk rock because of him, this is what got me into it, as a new young punk rocker this is a great memory.

I got to see them awhile back with my husband and oldest son.....my youngest passed 4 years ago.....in an hour and 2 minutes 18 years ago Owen Randall Hooton came into my life, a minecraft master.....anyway as the band is talking how they were digging on an audience of all ages it all got green....the lights I guess, and as they started to play this song I could feel him, there with us.....his favorite color is green, while y'all played this song, in a little club in Dallas Tx, my family, the four of us, were together again....never think your music doesn't matter......thank you 💚💜💙🧡 💔💔💔💔

Was a huge Minecraft kid. My dad is a huge punk rock fan and loves this band. Showed me this song. Even though I've kind-of outgrown Minecraft, I'm blaming my dad for my Teenage Bottlerocket obsession. Will forever treasure this song.

Great Band! Caught them live this weekend and they told me about how they got this video made. The guitar players kids watch Let's Play Minecraft videos. They contacted one of the guys that makes the videos and asked them to make this for them! Nice guys, great show!

TBR fan since early 2000s. Listened to this song a thousand times. Fast forward and now I have a 5 year old who is obsessed with Minecraft. One day put on the tales from Wyoming and it all made sense . I pretty much flipped out that I never put it together all this time. Love this song and love this band.

As a relatively new fan of the band (last 3-4 years), I have definitely heard this song. My kids love minecraft, and through that I had a general knowledge that there was a character in the game called Steve, but it was not until right now that I realized this song was about the Minecraft Steve. I think it's awesome. Punk people are snotty and amusing. Just listen to the tones from the guitars and the Blasting Room production. It's solid, and they are one of the best live punk bands I've seen to this day.

The children whining in these comments are hilarious. Part of what makes TBR fucking awesome is that they arent afraid to be goofy every now and then. The very next track on the album is about The Evil Dead. Not to mention Kody fronted The Lillingtons, which was arguably one of the best horror-ish punk bands out there.

Brandon Ownage this is one of the most respected punk bands these days, and they like to have fun. They did all of Warped last year and they were one of the best bands out there. Are they super original? No. Is their music catchy and fun? Yes! By singing about Minecraft, they're just singing about a game they like. I know plenty of adults that play the game quite a bit.

Personally, TBR is not for me but I'm not gonna hate on rise like the rest of this comment section for signing them or defend TBR like they're the saving grace for pop punk and it's the music of the gods. Personally I'll stick to Silverstein, DGD, etc.. I like that rise is signing bands that sound different from each other. Good music labels should diversify the music they have signed to them so they can reach a wider audience. Plus if you think a band is terrible, that's your opinion, you can dislike things, it's okay. No need to bash others.
