This video came right on time. I’m 14 years old and about 85% of my school has been in a relationship, in a relationship, or has had their first kiss and I feel so left out knowing I’ve had none of these experiences. I’ve liked so many people and they end up not knowing, or leading me on then ending up with someone else to the point that I was tired of it. Then there’s this one guy I sorta like, he feels the same and recently asked me out. I still haven’t given him an answer being that I somewhat feel unworthy of his or anyone else’s love. I pushed relationships trying to get someone to feel the same and now someone does and I just don’t think that I’m ready. So your opinions really help me, thank you.

Haven't hear the whole thing, but I would like to say, as someone who never had a proper partner until I was 24, I can say that teenage relationship are kinda important. My whole teens I wasn't ask out, no one had an interest in me and that actually hurts a lot when you grow up and you're, let's say, 22 and the last time some one showed interest in you was when you were 14 and the relationship lasted a conversation; when I got my first bf I was a MESS, didn't know how to communicate. period. I didn't have many friends growing up due to bullying so I didn't learn socialization so I didn't know how to talk to someone on that deep level, specially a boy. A lot could have been avoided if I had friends or my parents talked to me about how relationships, romantic or platonic, should be from a broad but healthy perspective. The whole thing of "it's not gonna last" and "it's time consuming" is rocky territory for me, it's sooooo easy to just not bother to work inside a relationship bc of those phrases. yes, relationships can be "perfect" and over in like 20 seconds, and it does consume a lot of your time, but it's time that you wanna spend (should, in my opinion, if u truly want to be with that person) and no relationship has a warranty that it's going to last, not when you're in your 20s, 30s or when you've been married for 35 years, they can break, was it a "waste" of time? No, I don't think so. I mean, I don't talk to my ex anymore bc I realiced that we weren't compatible to begging with but because of the whole we kept dating, that's the mind set you should NOT have. Things can be over so quickly, it's weird but it doesn't mean it wasnt worth it. I learnt a lot in my first relationship -almost 2 years and a half- I don't regret it, maybe I shouldn't have gotten into that relationship in the first place, but it made me grow, realice who I was (or becoming, I'm only 26) and it was a cute time.

Know your core values and don’t even consider dating someone who doesn’t share them. You don’t need to date around to figure out you or what you “like” you know that already and if you don’t then figuring out you and not others is a great place to start. Honestly read the core values in Matthew, Ephesians, and Proverbs.

I don't think there's really a right or wrong answer. I think it depends on the individual. Overall it's difficult to navigate through and figure out your feelings and who you are when you're 13-18. Not to mention having to worry about all of the schoolwork and extra curricular activities. Some might be able to deal with all of that, some might not, others might not even try.

These conscious decisions she has made developed her character which in turn makes her a higher value. Which is a good thing! As of 2023, and for a long time now, when it comes to sex and relationships both men and women stay eating out of the trash. It's up to the individual to stop dumpster diving for love.

Edit: The video is 100% right. I commented before I watched and I agree with it wholeheartedly. As a teenager, I think it is better to have a relationship with a group of friends, not to just build your social portfolio, but also let you have some of the best moments of your life. I do not know how people will balance a job, school, and be able to just dedicate their time to/rely on 1 person. I love my friends, they are there when I need them and I am there when they need me. Not saying that I am against having closer relationships or to date a specific person during your teens, but I feel like the life skills from having more than one person to appreciate and be there for is much more rewarding. Once you have your life set in motion and you have some years of experience under your belt, you are ready to go try and hone in on the closest people to you.

YES!! Great way saying. I’m a 30-year-old woman. I have never really acted like a girl. Well is “supposed”. I noticed that teenagers today are heavily influenced by social media. It makes up their personality, looks, relationships, etc… I feel like social media should have never become a thing. I’m only on RU-vid. I noticed that relationships don’t really matter much, only lust and what they call “bodies”. Friendships don’t matter. More like you have to look a certain way to fit in. Today I seen that appearances are more important than personalities in this generation. I mean it’s what human beings do, but everyone is different in mindsets. Kids younger than 10 are heavily impacted on social media. I mean I see young girls dressing ways… that I have never see before. Anyways, I won’t say much. No harm done. I’m just frustrated with how us human beings have evolved.

I am 15, and me and my girlfriend had a similar approach coming to dating. I am her first relationship, and she is my second. As fun as my first one was, and I'm thankful it happened as I learned a lot, I learned my lesson in rushing into relationships. We had been around eachother for a month or so, and the same day we exchanged numbers. 2 months into the relationship she broke up with me, and I realized I need to look at relationships from a standpoint of "can I see myself staying with this person, could I possibly have a future with them," the same view as my girlfriend now. With her, I had spent almost 2 months texting nonstop before we decided to try it, and it is going so much better than my first relationship. I feel so much more comfortable talking to her, me and her have talked about trauma for both of us, I've been getting her chocolate while she's on her period, and we're just here for eachother. It feels healthier

Tbh, Gabby and Roberto are so right toward this subject and the fact that Mamma and Papa Bee are there for them throughout all this and helping them is simply magic to see! My parents, my brother and I have had this type of convo but not that deep like you guys just had! I’ve had a boyfriend at like 12 years old until I was maybe 14 or 15 and not that it was bad, but now, at 19, i know that it’s a part of my life experience and it wasn’t necessary. Since then, I’m focusing even more on myself and my mental health before going out with somebody rather than being scared to hurt them because I’m not there mentally. Thank you for that and I truly think you guys will help a lot of young youth with those advices 🫶🏻

I'm 22 years old, here's what I think, for starters DO NOT DATE when your in high school because it hardly ever works out or lasts forever, I'm saying that from experience because my only ex in grade 10 6-7 years ago cheated on me, another thing just focus on yourself work on yourself, dating isn't a mandatory requirement its a choice, if you feel like you're ready to date that's good too

I'm only in 8th grade, and one of the girls in my advisory has had 100+ "boyfriends" I told her I didn't think a week of a "relationship". She tried to roast me by saying " bet you haven't even had your first kiss yet" I proceeded to tell her because I can't even love myself, let alone someone else 😅

I'm the same age as Gabbie and I agree with her when she said that you prioritize and you have somebody else in your life when you can't even and prioritize what your goals are and what your career is in the future. And I feel like we all need to find and grow fond of ourselves first, and what we want to do and how we will grow and mature as a person. I kind of realized that the more we evolve, the more we lose respect for the people that enter and our lives. Back in the day, we would see someone that attracted us, and we would admire them from afar, and then built up the courage to talk to them and to sit down with them, and to acknowledge them and get to know them more. But now today we're on a useless app and we swipe right or we get a friend request and say "what do you look like", " oh you're cute, how about we date." and I'm just like " dude! I just met you five seconds ago, wdym?🤨"

I 100% agree with the views expressed in this video. I wish I had someone to tell me this when I was in my teens (42 now). It would take a lot of pressure off. I would avoid major metal health issues in my life. Describing how much my slate is messed up is not a topic for a RU-vid comment.

Interesting perspective. I learned a lot. Great parents and great kids. I love how the parents communicate with the kids, respecting them and their opinions. Amazing and so much love Oh yeah I want to share something. I’m 25 now. When I was around 20, somebody liked me “seriously”. But at that time I was not ready at all for any relationship as I couldn’t even love myself. My thinking was, how could I let someone love what I hate? and I don’t have it in me and I don’t know how to love this person. I could have handled it better but I knew it won’t work out.
