I’ve never used an OP or anything like this in my life and probably never will but I still watch these vids bc they are interesting and informative :) good job feller
Enjoying this series. Have had my Z for a while and feel confident in saying that I know it rather well but I'm still enjoying this deepdive on the features and it's made me think differently about a few things too. Good job. Keep em up.
Hey I just wanted to thank you for adding so much to the youtube library. I'm in my humble beginnings as a content creator and am always looking for royalty free stuff, and you've given me another tool to work with. I didn't even know it was a thing until I saw your video (volume 2) and I just wanted to make sure you knew your hard work is greatly appreciated.
Loving these Jeremy! Got my OP-Z yesterday and am learning some great tips from these videos! I was supposed how easy it was to figure out initially, but there were some things I couldn't figure out, like how you can Max out the more length to get a never ending done now YUSSSSSS. And that you can lengthen a single pattern to be more than 16 steps. I went from being underwhelmed to completely in love in a few hours of play time. This thing is awesome!
You can freely Put the different synth engines in different Slots of each synthtrack. And also xou can save different presets from each sampleset on the White Keys.
thanks so much for this buddy, nice flow as always. picked up a few things i hadn't before. i always plan to do some tutorial and/or walk-through video, or at the very least add some sub-titles like your iconic op1 videos....but it's so much work dude. i appreciate your efforts. peace!
I really am intrigued by this device. I like that it seems like a more affordable option for those of us who want an OP-1 but can't afford the pricetag. definitely picking one up
As a person with literally no experience I feel like I could jump on one of these and make a passable tune first thing! You do such a great job explaining things simply but not like I'm an idiot ❤️
You should try making a video over making a song using the op-z similar to how you make the op-1 videos, I love those videos! I mean I love all your stuff, but I the op-1 songs help me get through rough days
Hey Jeremy, thanks for doing these videos, they're super helpful and concise! Dumb question for you about setup though: This is my first synth, and I am just running a 3.5mm cable from the OP-Z to my speakers. It sounds OK, but the level is a little low and it's only in mono. Is the signal mono or stereo? Also, what kind of cable do you use, it looks pretty sturdy. Thanks again!
Worth noting you can have all the synths on all the synth tracks. This can be achieved in the OP-Z app CONFIGURATOR. I have them all configured the same way on all the synth tracks + u can use samples on the synth tracks as well although the OP-Z semms to be fussy with those.
On your iPAD under the word 'sound' i see the name of the sound you're using. On my app i see no names, only the word 'sound' Do i have to configure this? Thanks for you video's. They're great.
So grateful for your tutorials and your music. I really love that you make so much that you offer for free. This is lame, but I have not yet supported you on Patreon. I can certainly swing $1 month, but I am embarrassed that any more makes me nervous due to a tight budget, and $1 just seems like it is not enough. Do you have an option for donations that would be a one shot? Like fans can just give what they can when they can? That is better for me since sometimes i have a little extra money but its tough to make a commitment. Also, if you dont think $1 a month is lame then i will do it. I think you are great and i will stay on this OPZ journey
Can you do a video on using the OPZ with a DAW. I have no idea how to transfer files from my OP-Z into logic aside from the 10 second bounces. If anyone can help that would be great.
I forget if you mentioned but you can put any of the synth engines into any of the tracks with the configurer part of the app. I just found that out this week. It opens some possibilities. Although I've been having a glitch on mine where the app will stop telling me what engine I've selected and that section of the window will just be blank. Anyone else have that issue. Great video per usual.
Brilliant video thanks a lot! This is one of the synths I have my eyes on for a while- the sounds, however, sound way too basic , I hope Teenage Engineering will make something in this form factor but with better and more interesting sounds in the future.
Hi Sir, quick question for you or anyone that might know: How do you reset to default the parameters for samples? For synth, it is easy, you reselect the preset and it all comes back to default. For the samples, it does not: it keeps the parameters as you last changed them.
100% it is. Seriously, I cannot believe how much power is packed into such a tiny footprint. I mean, it can: control stage lights over DMX, output video and still images which are sequenced to the music tempo, and yes, it can handle a full live set with many of the bells and whistles found in a modern DAW. It's friggin insane. And when you're done melting faces, you throw the thing in your back pocket and roll out like a boss. Honestly $600 feels like an amazing deal. If you can do better than that for $600 I'd love to know how.
