Definitely brings me back to my childhood while playing this game with my sister... I remember renting this game on PS2 from Blockbuster Video back in 2004 for the weekends and I can't stop playing this game pays homage to the arcade co-op back in the late 1980's and early 1990's and the ol' Komani never back away from the Turtles until years later...
Can't believe this is from 19 years ago 🤯. I grew up with the original turtles from the 80's. I still remember watching the first episode of the original cartoon at my parents house and playing the arcade game at the mall every time I was there. I still have all my action figures packed away somewhere. I was a fan to say the least. Anyway, who would have thought that the franchise would still be going strong all of these years later. Edit - reading my post makes me feel old 😂 Anyone else here remember the 1980's TMNT?
I play this game on the internet cafe ;) Man i miss internet cafe days on 2010-2013 or something i forgot year tho :( And the spamming voicelines never gets old
I swear some turtles are way better than others in this game. Donnie is the slowest, but his range and damage are very high. Mikey has the fastest DPS, performs the longest combos with decent range, and he tends to be the most accurate. Leo is relatively well balanced in every attribute, but he lacks a good aerial attack. Raph unfortunately just kinda sucks except for his damage and air move. He is not only relatively slow, but he is also the least accurate, and he has the worst range and combo potential. Donnie and Mikey are the best, Leo is solid, and poor Raph just can’t seem to catch a break. lol
I think that fight is missing because player 1 isn't Donatello. I never had played through the entire game with all 4 turtles, so I didn't even know about that boss fight until now. I could have figured out a way to do it if I had known. Edit: I had forgotten, that boss actually does appear in the challenge mode at 3:44:32.
The thing is, this game keeps track of any lost lives from one stage to the next. I believe it is intended for you to beat the entire area without using all of the lives, and being able to save in between stages would make it easier, which is why it isn't possible to do. That definitely can be a problem for the later stages, though, since you could have to start the entire thing from the beginning if you ran out of lives.
Okay I know I played this on PS2 long time ago, but i seriously don’t remember seeing the Shinto level where they fought shredder without his armor. Etc
