Shadowserg I remember how difficult the boss fight against the Shredder was... Accidentally kill one the Shredders who lost his helmet, the other one will split, plus that attack that turns your turtle into a baby turtle I also remember playing this in 2 player mode, my cousin defeated the final boss with one bar of health and on his last life (I lost all my lives)
Still have mine too! (L.O.L.!) Actually that's not quite totally true, as I DID cash in the initial one I got, but ended up getting another booklet down the road, which was too late for me to use by then.
@@freakyfornash Oh cool, I didn't know that!.. This was the first NES game I played and I love it! I never beat it back then but it was my fav. I just picked up an NES and 5 games and made it to Shredder today before I died
Should mention the Turtles II: Splinter Speaks Tiger Electronics handheld game came with this also, albeit didn't own it at the time when it first came out though.
The flying kick worked best on bosses, while the spin attack was best to use against the regular enemies. Problem was that the game got kind of boring quick by doing that same move over, and over again though! (L.O.L.!)
God they tried so hard to get this as close to the arcade version as possible, even though the technology clearly wasn't there yet, but bless Konami for pushing the limits of the console as hard as they could.
@@mistresskixen6142 They both were such big pain in the asses too! Krang was maybe ever so slightly tougher I.M.O. also, even if the fight with Shredder had it's fair share of annoyances as well.
This is the best Krang I've ever seen. He's fast enough to kick your ass every time you get close enough to him. Speed is what the previous guy with the rocket launcher was missing. Author playing with 80 level accuracy , I could move away from Krang so rare without having my ass kicked.
He probably got sent back to the Technodrome after his defeat. I'm guessing that a housefly (or several) followed him into the portal. Then, Shredder probably tried to vaporize him and he was fused with a fly. I'm guessing there was some mutagen ooze put on Baxter. After that, I'm guessing that Stockman got another chance. Which is why he left Baxter to defeat the TMNT while April was held hostage. I'm just speculating, I don't know how accurate it is. However, I'll bet there's some truth in it.
You know, Shadowserg, it is entirely possible to beat Tora the Polar Beast by doing what you did with Bebop, that is, get him into the middle of the screen and do those kicks to him and keep switching sides, depending on which direction that he faces. I have done a no damage kill on him that way once.
I never noticed in my whole life playing this & seen it played that when your turtle looms at you in game he becomes a cyclops. Literally a 1 eyed turtle Cyclops that even blinks his 1 eye. Anyone else notice this? lol creepy
When I saw this vid and the thumbnail, I was about to comment on how the turtles looks like they have a single eye, when they look towards the player, lol.
They do something similar in the genesis version, they are supposed to have two thin oval eyes very close together, it does look like a cyclops here lol.
I remember watching my sister playing this game, could not believe I could play the home port of the arcade game, yea there are a few screen tearings, but they tried so hard. Its better then the first one.
Always wanted this game but I couldnt get it new, I still remember waiting years and finding it in the $2 used pile in K-Mart and going crazy. I had to hide it in mens clothing while I asked my parents if I could get it :D
Good ol' Mikey... 😊😊 (I'm a Don fan, though...😉😉). Nice work. From Granitor onward it's hard not to take damage, and screw you, Shredder...that damn mutagen ray...😝😝 And poor Tora wants to pelt Mikey with ice boulders and Mikey was just like...'drop that, son, and fight like a turtle!' 😂😂
Idk... Turtles in Time was badass. I even got the HD REMAKE on my 360 before they tooke the arcade remakes down. I wish i woukd have gotten the xmen hd remake. Damn you microsoft!!!!!! Lol
Shredder must have read the Naruto manga, in order to learn the Kage Bunshin. Of course, he can only make one clone at a time (cough-low chakra levels-cough)...
This game kicks ass, not to hard not to easy, every level is fun to play overall for my money this is the best game for the NES. This game Jackal and The Adventures of Billy Bayou which only suffer because the driving levels are too long, it also impossible to beat but if you have the Game Genie it’s a fun little challenge.
When I first got this version as a kid, it felt like a knockoff to me and I was disappointed... Until I got to the extra stages and I was like "Alright... Maybe I was a bit hasty in my judgement..." After I finally reached the Technodrome stage, I was thinking "I feel like I've played two separate games back-to-back!" By the time I finally beat the game and got the credit sequence with the Turtle Blimp, the game had earned my respect.
Man I can do every boss with no damage except for shogun...the head keeps getting me amd never seems like it does the same pattern....but love this game...simple fun and difficult....when at first of course

There's an even easier way to beat Mutant Baxter. If you stand right underneath him (where his drop shadow is), neither of his energy balls will hit you, and you can use your jump-swing attack to hit him. He won't move from his spot, so you just repeat the jump-swing over and over until he dies.
How the hell did you not get killed at 14:52? This is crazy! Was it a game bug or what? You were exactly on the line of fire, should have been turned back into ordinary turtle, like i always have.
I remember getting desperate on my fist battle against Shredder. I thought i was doing something wrong because he keeps duplicating. In my second time I found out you can do it faster by removing both Shredders helmet at once.
I have a question. I have the game, I don't know if it's original or not. But when I'm playing the game it gets slow if there are a lot of enemies. It is normal?
