@@V0YAG3R It realy wasn't. Its actually one of the easiest Levels in the Game. All you have to do is swim around and deactivate the Bombs. Heck, I beat this level several Times as an 8 Year old.
I remember getting to the techno drome a few times as a kid although I never beat it. Watching these speed runs it makes me think I probably beat about 5% of the NES games I owned. I must have played Snake Rattle n Roll for like 1000 hours. Never beat it!
Me too. Making it to Shredder was gratifying, but I had like half a block of life left and immediately perished without learning anything. I never made it there again.
@@ashwinathlye3338 the original films of course! If you were a kid in the 80s/early 90s you'd have seen the first 2 at least 100 times. 3rd one not so much. I was born in 1980 so i got the best of both worlds, cartoon and movies as a child.
Closest i got to was the technodrome and that was maybe twice in my whole childhood lolz and I thought that was legit the end back then . Oh how I was wrong 🤣
I like how you went to the main parts of the game to get through it and not going sewer to sewer fighting everything. Thanks for your help with this THROWBACK CLASSIC walkthrough. I make it to the Damn water and lose now hopefully I can actually get this game finished. And I'm playing it on PC random video games website.👍🍻
!bew ... ..."bew, bew, bew BEW 🎵!" The sheer joy and simple pleasure arcus has while playing these classics really lightens my day and reminds me that life doesn't have to be so complex and that happiness begins with just one thought.
the music for this game will always have a place in my heart, still have my original game and still enjoy playing it. I never got real good at it like this fella though.
When I was Young my older brother and I adored this game. We had a lot of trouble of the swimming bomb diffuse stage at around 4:00. Seeing you play this is making me itch to do a run and see how I do. I learned a lot from this video. Great job!
Developer: "OK, so you've seen the TV show, right? Just have them fight those enemies in the game." Designer: "I hear the words you're saying, but what if instead..." (throws spaghetti at a wall)
this was my favorite game as a kid. I know like games like dark souls... guess you really grow up how you were as a kid. So glad to see it again. Much love brotha
See these are the types of stories is why I love this generation. The pain, the agony, and triumph in some cases with just life in general. Everybody did their best with what they had no matter the outcome. You're a champion in my book sir.
I'm so impressed! It's hard to believe someone would get this good at such a frustrating game. I beat the dam stage a few times as a kid but never made it much farther.
Years ago I recreated the water level in super mario maker. It's called: Dam Water Level. I haven't logged onto the wii network or whatever it's called in years so I have no idea if it's still up. But I recreated it to be exact.
Played this endlessly as a kid. I never made it past the jump you made at the 7:50 mark, because I always bumped my head on the jump. When I replayed the game as a teenager, I realized I just needed to tap the jump button to avoid hitting my head and falling in the pit.
Ok so I haven’t played this game in over a decade but I think I noticed a very obvious time save. At 2:20 and 2:33 Arcus jump up a 7 tile high ledge but skips underneath another 7 tile high ledge at 2:26. The one next to the upper left Exit door in the damn level. Is there any reason that ledge can’t be jumped up to for an easy 12ish second time save??
Since he kept getting hit, I was often like ‘get that pizza,’ not realizing for a bit that because of desire for speed, he didn’t want the pizzas unless he found them absolutely necessary.
This might be my new all time favorite video on RU-vid. I still play my original copy, on my second generation NES, and I can still make it into the Technodrome. I've never seen Shredder.
wtf. This is like one of those games I couldn't finish when I was like 10 years old. I finished Ghouls and Goblins many times, but this one, never. Amazing
i used to play this when it first came out, before i could read. trying to figure out what the hell to do as a five year old without being able to read any of the prompts was near impossible. this vid is giving some bizarre flashbacks...
I never got past the technodrome as a kid, and you didn't miss a beat. Impressive use of glitching through the floors. I never knew about that. All the time I'm like for the love of God get the pizza its right there.
I watched most of his speed run and I still think there was a latent glitch where most if not all of the enemies were supposed to have Knockback after getting hit...and Shredder would have been the only character that didn't have knockbacks. However turns out that Shredder's knockback is what makes it a pretty fair fight without having to resort to exploits to win.
Everyone here talking about the water level and I'm here amazed at the amount of insanity after the buildings level that I never got to experience before. There's no way I would have beat this game lol
the fact that you got up to get water speed running a game that was impossible to beat filled me with pure contempt. I guess jealousy is more accurate but i can't watch more or I'll buy a nes to attempt it myself.
