Psst! The 1990 delivery guy is actually Michelangelo's suit actor. Raphael's voice/suit actor appears in the back of the taxi. "What the heck was that!?"
downloaded this game over the weekend played with my 5 and 7 year old.. they loved it almost as much as me lol... Would love to see some DLC levels at some point and maybe some more playable charecters like the punk frongs, Yosagi Jimbo or Ace Duck
What's up with the lack of Adam all of a sudden? Also the voiced audio being echo-y from the set makes the review come off low budget. Review didn't used to just sound like somebody standing in an auditorium giving a presentation. Writing is funny and cheesy as always, and for the record I do love all of the new Xplay crew. I just also like Adam a lot...
Streets of Rage 4 is meh if not nad, looks like crap, oh and Streets of Rage was never great to begin with the first game was OK and it was all downhill from there.
If this game receives DLC, I sure hope its an expansion with more. More levels that have bosses like Lord Dregg (season 9), HiTech, Armaggon (tournament fighters), Scumbug + Antrax and obviously that 8th playable character. My bets would be on it being Carter with Usagi being the story mode friend to help. Also, a vs dojo mode with all bosses unlocked would also be pretty sweet
If that's gonna be true for you, I would also add the Frog Dudes and Leatherhead as playable characters. As well as the DLC final boss by Ch'Rell to fight against.
LOL they already said no DLC for this, possibly a new character AT BEST. What you typed out is an entire extra $30 game that will take them another 3 years to release hahahahah I'm just glad it finally came out after nearly half a decade of waiting for what they're selling right now.
@@robertfrost8264 They are thinking about DLC for new characters. What they did say is no DLC for alternate costumes. Because it would mean building it from the ground up.
As a 35 year old TMNT fan, I gotta spot the mistake. The Domino's guy from the 1990 TMNT movie was not the voice of Raphael. He was the guy in the suit of Michelangelo, which made that scene even more great seeing that he's basically interacting with himself. With that said and out of the way, I loved this video!
TMNT took the novel approach of panning off from the scene of Matt Murdock's blinding after the chem spill, to focus on what happened to the waste. The Eastman/Laird origin story involves a key moment which plays exactly the same in Daredevil's origin: An elderly man begins crossing the street in New York City, bearing a cane and dressed the same in both books. He's tackled by a young man with a certain unmistakable haircut, so he won't get run over by a truck carrying canisters of industrial waste. The young man gets blinded by waste from falling canisters as a result. (Retcons have made everyone recall the Murdock canisters as being the size of oil drums, but in the original telling of his story they went totally unseen.)
Movie came out in 1990, not 1988. Voice of Raphael is by the guy in the cab that asks "what the heck was that?" when Raphael rolls over the hood chasing after Casey Jones.
Absolutely love the nostalgia and action in this game. I can now play it on my iPhone thanks to Xbox cloud gaming. Check out vids. Love your work Xplay
Probably didn't want to interfere until Kenny Bitzcoe took a sip of mutagen. Pretty sure it's better than the teenage pigeons he was aiming at creating.
I was looking for a vid like this to decide what turtle game to grab for emulator before getting into Shredder's Revenge. Turtles in Time sounds like the move. Good look
I'm just praying that they don't associate Papa Johns with Donatello Edit: I was sweating, but I think y'all smashed it in the pizza segment. Funny how that had me more nervous than the actual game review 🤣
I understand that Turtles in Time is great and all, but everybody is sleeping heavily on Hyperstone Heist. It's even better than TiT and it NEVER gets mentioned whenever somebody brings up the older generation of TMNT games.
@@gumgumleobazooka it's a Sega Genesis game. I'll be a bit honest and say I'm biased though. I believe the Genesis got most of the better Konami titles. Castlevania Bloodlines over Castlevania 4, Contra Hard Corps over Contra 3, Rocket Knight Adventures over Sparkster. I typically enjoy the SNES versions of games over the Genesis counterparts, but definitely not when it comes to Konami games.
@@majestyzx9081 ahhh that’s it. My cousins were the subset that had the sega stuff in the family haha. Very much looking forward to diving into what I missed via the collection! Cowabunga it is friend!!!
You didnt even SAY the words Manhattan Project in this video, Im disappointed. It was objectively a better game than Turtles in Time it just didnt have a 4 player cabinet everyone loved.
There are *thousands* of hours of docs you can find about the history of the TMNT franchise, very easily. This is G4, reviewing the game that just came out a week ago....
@@robertfrost8264 there are thousands of places i can find a review about this game. i like the reviewers, and i enjoyed hearing them talk about the topic. it's not a complaint, just a statement of something i would have loved to see.
The game is good as long as you keep the game @ 3 players. The 6 player co-op just has too much happening on screen at once . I frequently loose my character in a pile of player sprites and enemies.
This was the best game reviewed by the 2021-22 X-Play team. It represents what G4 was all about, nostalgic blasts from the past. I think these guys thought I was a troll, and maybe I am, but my intent was to speak the truth on the Twitch chat. 5/5 game and review.
I dont know why everybody complains about the NES underwater level being hard. I litteraly beat it when i was 5 years old. The rest of the game i understand but its no harder than a megaman level
I remember it not being fun at all. Actually made me not want to play the game, but I knew I liked the normal style of levels so I fought through it. lol But yeah it was more the annoyance and complete lack of any fun things to do, for me.
@@The_Insanity_Plex i didnt enjoy the game until i got older. The ability to switch out turtles to do different things makes it dope. It was just unforgiving with the platforming and no saves. I was big on turtles as a kid though so i was hype playing it as a kid even if i wasnt good.
this is my favorite video from the new g4, I know people hated it but I enjoyed it and was sad it went away again at least I found Jirard through it edit: the Jirard comment did not age well
I love Little Caeser's pizza mostly the extra most bestest pizza and the deep dish ones too. I understand not everyone does. I love pizza period though it is one of my favorite foods.
Pizzaiollo (pizza-yolo) is a pizza chef and I would go Donatello for round table Raphael for domino's Michaelangelo for little ceaser and Leonardo for papa John's
not a good time to be strapped for cash, but from everything that I've seen this is definitely my first pickup next month!! loved the arcade games, the console ports of them and the hyperstone heist over on genesis, so extremely hyped to add this one to my switch collection!!
