I watched this when i was younger and started to rewatch them. So i bought the set and im hooked all over again. Definitely going to get the other versions of it. Im even planning a cosplay 😁
I hate how they didn't even list the names of each volume but called them "Disc 1, 2" on the listings, because in order to know them you have to count all the discs and or look up which episode is in a specific volume. If they were gonna reuse volumes they should at least tell people who don't know which episode belongs in which season. They expect you to count each disc and number them but how are you able to do that when there's like 18 discs? Why would they number each disc when the discs aren't numbered?
I still have all 14 individual volumes of the 2012 series on DVD. I prefer them over the complete series collection. They may not save a lot of shelf space, but the artwork of each volume, both inside and out, is just too good to get rid of. And also, I prefer to not have the discs stacked on top of each other, that way it’s easier to get to which disc I wanna watch.
I can see why they reused the Volumes for this but I kinda appreciate that because it remembers those volumes, rather than throws those titles away. I do agree that even though the 2003 set doesn’t have episode listings on the inside of the cover it does list episodes on the discs, the discs are a pain to uncover to see what you want from the 2012 set lol. I know we are in the era in streaming but I kinda dig this release…at least we actually own a series and not have it taken off a service! Great video, but when did this box set come out? Now or 2017? It's a funny coincidence someone is talking about the box set around the time the 2003 one drops.
This particular "Complete Series" set was released in Dec. 2022, but someone asked to see it after I posted my TMNT 2003 box set unboxing...so mystery solved! 😁
