Hence the "Re-Invention" in the Re-Invention World Tour. She's said she gets bored doing the same songs the same way a million times, so she changes them. You can probably watch her do a song from 5 different tours and it will be a totally new version every time.
The re invention tour was her BEST tour. All is fantastic : the choregraphies, the choice of the songs the re arrangements, the interludes, the emotional moments, she was so beautiful creative, no vulgarity, and it's the tour where she sang at her best. It's her MASTERPIECE since the beginning til the end. It was the Madonna i loved
No this isn't filmed in Edinburgh or Scotland at all. She has only done two shows in Scotland. The MDNA tour in 2012 in Edinburgh and The Rebel Heart tour in 2015 in Glasgow. This footage is filmed in Lisbon, Portugal on the last show of the Re-Invention tour. The bagpipe player was recruited by Madonna to star in the show. His name is Lorne Cousin he was a lawyer working in Edinburgh. She first met him when he played at M's friend Stella McCartney's wedding. Stella used to spend a lot of time during her childhood on the Isle of Mull off the Scottish west coast. Lorne's father was the Islands vet so they played together as children and she wanted him to be a part of her wedding. Madonna got his telephone number from Stella. Lorne said he git home from work one evening and listened to his voice mail and there was a call from someone saying they were Madonna and wanted to talk to him about a proposition. He was sure it was a friend winding him up so he called the number up and 5 mins later he agreed to take a sabbatical from work on go on Madonna's world tour! 1 week later he was sitting in first class flying to L.A. ❤❤
@Chase Vickerss This is my fave live version of ITG by Madonna. So fascinating how she paid homage to the music and culture of Scotland (where she married Guy Richie, and where they had their son Rocco christened in 2000) by including bagpipes & drummers music, wearing tartan kilts and glengarry caps. Adding M.I.A. rapping on the back screen imaging was an added surprise artistic flourish to this performance. Thank you for reacting to this video (which omitted about a minute of the bagpipes opening).
