This is my favorite movie of all time. My family and I watch it together every Christmas morning. The story is so moving, and heartwarming! The SFX are so real, and it just stirs so much emotion inside of us all. We're so grateful for this classic cinematic masterpiece!
That's interesting. Christmas is a special time especially if you have a nice family tradition. How long have you been watching this on Christmas morning? I also love this old show. Good fortune to you and your family!
What an incredible time to live, 1956. You just show up in town with nothing, and a good looking girl offers to let you live with her. Or you show up where a good looking girl is swimming and she offers to be alone with you. Or the good looking girl lets you take her car and drive, although she knows nothing about you. And people still pick up hitchhikers. (Probably didn't after watching what happens in this, though.) People with giant mansions just let you come over and swim in their pool with them. Of course, we can't forget the cool cars.
Great film! I On germany tv during the last 6 months there has not been a single film better than this one! I always admire the talent of the actors of this time. So much better than now!
Hello, my name is Luis Torres and I have a copy un DVD, black and white and I love it, it's a beautiful cinema's film that deserves to be watched forever, yeah!
its almost hilarious how primitive this script is and yet in 2023 that same primitive script got me to watch this entire feature (half colorized ;) ) instead of anything thats currently coming out in theaters in a sci-fi genre. LOVIN IT !!! 🛸 at 36:36 you can see the prop skeleton held together by wires and a letter J on the ilium bone. PRICELESS subtitles generated by youtube dont quite match the dialogs. its like AI is dumbing the wording used in the 50-60s to the 2k generation..
The actors who played Thor (Bryan Grant) and Betty (Dawn Jacobs (a.k.a Dawn Bender)) are still with us today. Bryan lives in Hawaii and Dawn lives in Los Angeles. May they both live forever.
It's absolutely kitsch but I love the charm of this kind of old-fashioned movies. The FX are worthy of an 8-year-old kid. The actress has a little Betty Page side, doesn't she?
Never saw this movie it was good Ill know my dad will love this movie He live those time that 49 mercury 4 door he had that car went was teenager He talk the about old days How great It was clean
Wow, this was almost interesting. The advanced alien equipment near the beginning was most impressive, and the strangely expressive alien speech patterns were remarkably effective. The only thing missing was a large bottle of chilled white wine.
Raro filme para crianças de !959 assistir no Cinema!! Sem violência ! Sem maldades. O Tempo levou a inocência ....Isso é passado. Hoje as estórias são outras... infelizmente! Muito obrigada CULT Cinema Classics .
David Love/Charles Kaltenthaler (Derek) was such a handsome man, and he did a pretty good job of acting. If he had kept with it I think he could have become really good; same with Dawn Bender, they made a very appealing couple with good chemistry. He and Tom Locklear, who played Betty's reporter boyfriend, were a couple in real life. And of course, there were character greats like Harvey B Dunn (you can see him as the police chief giving a lovebird a swing ride on his eyeglasses in Ed Wood's Bride of the Monster) and King Moody (he of the amazing "TORTCHAH!!!" line delivery) who had his greatest success as Ronald McDonald in the 1970s tv ads for McDonalds! Such a great little jewel of a B flick.
@@brendamitchellinspiredjour7609 It had a lot of copetition.."I was a Teenage Werewolf"... "I was a Teenage Frankenstein'. "I was a Teenage Monster" etc. etc.
@@alpha-omega2362 That's SOME "competition": not listed was "Plan 9 From Outer Space", released in '59 a few years after it was made. Bliss was it in that Dawn to be alive !
2:39 Gotta love the Air Force surplus standard-issue flight helmet... FOR *_SPACE!!!!!_* 4:41 They literally just swiped the Sound Man's Berlant MCM-2 four-channel mixer from his trailer and used it right off, without even covering the product name with something like a sign written in an alien alphabet or something. 6:11 John Mulaney THEN, John Mulaney NOW, John Mulaney FOREVAHHHHHHH! 12:40 "Captain! Look at this! The Gargon; it is not dead!" "Good. Thor, get the drawn butter. Moreal, get the bibs that have the Gargons printed on them..."
It was a Movie I was wanting to see since I was a kid in 4th grade, Back in the late 50's, when I saw the trailers in the movie theater. But circumstances always prevented me from seeing it. Even later in life, I only saw some bits and pieces on TV, never the entire thing. I was a sucker for all of those low budget monster movies at the time. They didn't even bother to build a monster model--- They just found a lobster or crayfish to move around. It actually had a story, different from what I thought. I originally thought it was about some Space faring Juvenile Delinquents who were running around on Earth blasting people to skeletons with a gun they had. SO I was WRONG.
As the Doctor would say " It's bigger on the inside ". They made this movie with a small ship, not even big enough to hold all of them, yet inside was much bigger than outside.
