This song, reimagined and acoustic, brings out much more emotion than the studio version does. I can't think of another song that accurately describes my feelings in regards to my relationship with the wonderful man I've met in 2021. Our relationship is on the rocks due to our differing paths in life. He's moving across state while I'm electing to stay put, we've agreed to not pursue a long distance relationship because we don't picture it going well. Inevitably, I will have to choose to let go and move on from this, but I wasn't ready for the indescribable amount of pain and relation I've discovered in this track. It's legit been my crying song whenever I'm thinking about the move. As a queer gay guy, I've found so, so much solace in Tegan and Sara's music. They just completely understand. 😢
