I lost my grandfather back in March of 2020. He died one day before his 79th birthday. And then, just before my last day of 11th Grade, I lost my grandmother. She was 84 years old. They both loved Tejano Music to the core. 😢 😭 💔. I have to keep the tradition going. I’m a huge fan of this music.
Raised in Corpus in the 50's, and listened to most of these songs from the outside of la Bola De Oro on Agnes Street, and also Las Palmas joint where my dad would booze it up and dance with the ladies. Still love the tunes .

Wow! I remember as a kid when my dad and all my tios y tias would party to all these great jams. All us kids were supposed to be playing in the living room while they partied in the kitchen but I would watch and listen to all this great music playing from the 8-track. Great memories!!

Okay first of all I was born and grain here in Texas back in the fifties and at this time I would like to tell a lot of stories as you well know there's a lot of I hear all of us will have different stories it's not me just me okay that are going to tell you what really went on back in the days but what you hear is something that we need to know and let everybody know are Tejano raise will always be there and it's very hard to understand we love our music forever and ever and nobody forget that talking about my professional music because I was raised and born in that era there's a lot of us that are still alive and we'll still hold on to our grains and don't let nobody tell you no different thank you very much I appreciate your everything that you feel or whatever and please
The music that has keyboard and no horns is called grupera like los Muecas and Los caminantes,and yeah there are tejano songs without horns but the mystery is that grupera became more popular with a new generation of immigrants coming to the united States that chicano/tejano orquestra became forgotten.
