This is the Honmaru (The Inner Shrine) theme song on the fourth game of the Tekken-series. The theme song called ''Honmaru Stage'' (The Inner Shrine) I do not own any of these theme songs, All credits goes to Namco.
There’s really nothing quite like T4 in its presentation, art direction and atmosphere. It just sucks that it’s now going super hard down the anime route with all these wacky crazy character designs. Before it was a lot more tame and refined , now it just doesn’t feel like the same Tekken with the tournament feel anymore. They should have second go at another T4 style game. Bring back martial arts to the center focus again. The music reflected this, the stages reflected this and the character designs reflected this. It was all about the MA. Not Lars and his crazy matrix flips, or Lucky Chloe squeeking like a chew toy bouncing around in her pigtails.
After the fight I don't know if he escape of this their cell in Tekken 4 before the capture of Jin by the Tekken Force and Kazuya by Heihachi with the chains of the temple but if is possible he can fight Jin Kazuya and Heihachi but that's not happened in Tekken 4 and 5 because after the end of tekken 4 and the beginning of tekken 5 the Hon-maru is destroyed by the Jack's 5 and we can only fight Jinpachi in the Ground Zero in Tekken 5 and inferno in Tekken 5 dark resurrection
the second darkest game in the Tekken series behind Tekken 2. I actually really liked this game, it wasnt perfect, but i liked the more serious "down to earth" tone of it and the story was really epic with the return of Kazuya and Jin meeting him for the first time.
This is my go to song whenever I'm troubled, upset or need a spike of discipline. This is it for me. Helped me through med school! Namco needs to find the essence of this game. No other Tekken game has captured the purity of what they tried: Costumes, designs, system, they sought perfection and came so close.
The story, art, narration, and overall atmosphere matured. Then everything got whacky after. The only thing bad about Tekken 4 was probably the endings.
The endings were great, what are you talking about? They were long and many characters' endings inter-connected. Every ending was canon. Sure, only one person wins the tournament, but for example Bryan gets rescued by Yoshimitsu whether or not he wins the tournament. In Tekken 5 and 6, every ending was a dumb joke, a non-canon "I RULE THE WORLD" or a stupid 4 second attempt at a funny joke.
I didnt know who Kazuya was until Tekken 4 but man once i saw him i knew he was a scary dude. He legit use to creep me out as a kid and fighting him here in Honmaru added to that errieness feeling i got from him. Infact The Inner Shrine (Honmaru) Itself was creepy because the song felt so different from the normal stages. When you finally got here as Jin to face Kazuya and Heihachi you just knew something was up because the song was just.. idk too calm compared to the other tracks even (Authentic Sky). To me it just felt off like something wasnt right about it. Love this track now though.
I think you’ll find him more scary had u played tekken 2 first. With the boss being Kazuya with his menacing eyes, then after defeating him. Devil’s creepy eyes shows up
Personally, I like Devil Within more than this because you can retry mid-stage, and there's a plot about Jin escaping Mishima laboratory to find his mother.
To me this track represents the fact that the Mishimas are wealthy af, and on the surface look like the Japanese ideal: succesful, rich and in great shape. However, beneath the surface lies a problem that cannot be fixed with money or success.
I miss when tekken has a dark storyline and ost like this. Tekken 4 was the darkest and most underrated out of all tekken series. Chances are small, but I hope next Tekken storyline can be as dark as this one and redeem for the horrible storyline for the past two tekken’s
I spent so many hours practicing JF spinning demon, ewgf and omen combos back in the days, that's how I became good on T4 with Heihachi thanks to this stage.
While everyone has different opinions on this theme. To me it represents the dark truth behind the Mishima bloodline. A family full of hatred ready to end each others lives, having demon powers inside them. Kazuya vs Jin on this stage is perfect, the eerie and creepy tone of the theme rolling while a power hungry man with a tragic childhood trying to kill his son for power. The music of the cursed bloodline
Namco can't seem to get enough of the setting of this stage since Mishima Dojo and Secluded Training Ground both have the same aesthetic. Even Hall of Judgment from Tag 2 has some elements of it (though not nearly as dark since the top floor faces the outside and it's daytime).
Jin vs Kazuya was always such a wholesome experience. Listening to the themes years later is pure nostalgia and beauty. Can never get Jin's theme out of my mind.
i just love how the music scheme in Tekken 4 had a touch of darkness in it, like when i first watched the intro scene's music at the volcano gave me a sharp chill, unlike 5. but whatevs, Im a horror fan anyway.
Like the meme of the 2 girls in the gym saying: Girl 1: What do you think he's listening to? Girl 2: Idk probably rock or death metal. The boy: "Tekken 4 OST honmaru"
I do remember this iconic stage in tekken 4 , i think in jin kazama ending,he were about to kill his grandpa, heihachi Mishima until his mother, jun as apparition appear and stop her son and then thanks her while flying out of the compound dojo owns by his grandpa,i didn't know that jinpachi were shackles underground that lead to the events of tekken 5 with him as final Boss.
I'll always be a Kazuya fan and I do think that he is better then his son and father (even though he's only beaten his father once and never defeated his son) however this theme song describes the emotions that were going on in Jin's head, totally epic
kab1r y'know I liked Jin in the 3rd one, he was Kaz's son after all and I was rooting for him, then when Kaz came back in the 4th one, I rooted for him, cause by the 4th one, Jin had become obsessed with destroying his bloodline, and later on this feeling turned him into a brooding, emo guy hell bent on destroying the world, by awaking Azazel. At the same time Jin will say that he's doing the right thing, but he's just as evil as Kaz and Hehachi, but he won't admit it. At least Kaz has the balls to say "hey, I'm an evil badass, deal with it."
David Captain Charisma Ryan I don't think there is a "who is better in Tekken"! They're all already there for you to choose, you decide who is better for you! Personally I like Jin! Yeah he may be an Emo kid and all, and Namco seems a little scatterbrained on how to really deal with him, they seem to wanna turn him into a villain but not a villain...bad writing is what I'm trying to say! They just don't seem to have the balls to go all the way with this guy! But I don't think they ruined him...yet anyway! Look...hypothetically, put yourself in his situation. Lost his father before he was even born (I think), lost his mother in the in a gruesome way (thank the Aztec super weapon for that), betrayed by his grandfather at the worst moment possible, realizes that there is a high chance that he might be the spawn of Satan, and his father returns from the frigging dead only to eat his God damn soul! The loneliness this guy must feel...he might as well be in space orbiting Jupiter. And yet he finds it in himself to even get out off bed in the morning! In my opinion he is a hero just for that, a very very tragic hero! Hero nonetheless. They could easily do something right with him with the in next Tekken, even in separate game or movie, I'd watch it! If they don't CapCom-it up that is.
