Back when his Mental Alertness (b+1) 4 was super slow, anybody could see it coming. When they buffed it in Tekken 6 and Tag 2, it became my "panic move". I'm still kinda bummed that they took away his Soul Omen; it made him flashy for a character with a simplistic style.
am I the only one who rathers shorter combos like in t3/t5 era over the actual longer combos with corpse screw wall carry/bounce and stuff to extend them?
And is also more versatile than earlier versions of Jin. You can combine a lot of combos in different ways, is unpredictable. Is very hard to learn, but very effective.
@@DeadlyRav33 yeah but I wasn't referring to the glow of the hands but the light falloff spreading when the Mishimas do their Electrics. Notice the lighting on Jin's body at 1:54 and at 2:03.
I miss the Tekken where air juggles don't take very long to execute but sure packs damage. Those were balanced for all characters. Now we can perform juggles that last the entire round. Certain characters can kill you with it. And there are some that just tickles.
I don't really care what people say about him. Tekken 4 didn't make him broken. Tekken 5 is where he was becoming his own. Tekken 6 made him better. Tekken 7 is peak and Tekken 8 sees him getting better.
He wasn't weak, he was just B tier in tekken 5 instead of God tier like in tekken 3 and 4. A tier in 6 and back to S tier in 7. I actually like the direction they took him in 5.
@@emogaysasuuke What? Jin is insanely broken in Tag2. He has more versatile combos, and his omen stance is in another level. Is really hard to use, but he is broken as hell.
I thought Jin was in the top 5. I know Steve and Nina are broken but I'm not good enough at Tekken to know. I can get up to level 5 in the story mode before failing over and over.
Tekken 5 got me back into tekken game again when i played it on arcade. Nvr played tekken 4 at tht time so i didn't know jin changed his fight style so i got my ass kicked by a dude using baek if im not mistaken.
Is a shame and also sad that the best Tekken game in history was also Jin's darkest moment they put all the muscle on Devil Jin's debut that's not Devil Jin's debut as well cause Devil Jin was originally the Tekken 3 and Tag1 normal Jin, i recognize that maybe they nerfed cause Jin comes from be the most broken character of Tekken 4, but i really happy they make him strong again in T6 and also OP in season 1,2,4 Tekken 7
@@olah547 So completely safe? Granted in this game -11 CAN be punished even with pushback since some characters have 8f jabs so back then it meant something different than it does now.
from what I think it is, its a natural combo and 123 acts like the ff3 considering tekken games today makes the opponent facesplat the ground (idk how to call that reaction)
@@Wristwatch96024 that sounds too good to be true. A damaging i10 natural combo when he already has 2,4? In fact, even if it needed the first jab(1)to be a counterhit for it to be one it'd still be too damn good.
