New week, new set of guides! More of these are coming soon. Runner-ups for the next video are: Paul, Steve, Miguel, and Bryan, but please remember if the request is high enough I will do any other character instead :)
PLz for the love of god, can you do Lee ?! There are very few resources to learn him because he isnt that popular, but he is kinda too difficult to fully understand by myself plz and thank you!!
Before I watched this video I struggled immensely and constantly failed to promote myself from 1st Dan to 2nd Dan. After watching and figuring out what exactly I should have been doing, I've just reached Initiate rank. Thank you so much!
This is a very very good video for anyone new trying to learn Jin Sidenote: but for the back 3 forward 1 you have to press 1 twice which I figured out in practice
I'm so grateful for your time to make this guide! , this is the best guide i've ever seen in youtube!. I'm looking forward for ur next video!! SUBSCRIBED *sorry for my bad english*
I play on ps4 and use my controller so that shit may be a challenge or easy. Idk yet. I'm a kazuya and Bryan main so Jin is new to me but I like what I saw. time to go grind Jin out
RetroSentai have you tried doing it yourself? just because you see people doing it in tutorials doesn't mean its not easy, as a jin main i think its worth about 125$ .
Great video. Helps a lot, but there's one thing I'm having trouble with and that is running up for Jin's ender b3, f1,2 after s! I cant seem to get it to be consistent. The last hit doesnt connect most of the time.
I’m a new player learning Jin, first time ever playing Tekken. I just wanted to know if the combo in 0:50 got patched or if theres a strict timing during the combo, I can’t successfully complete the second half of it
Yeah it still works. Also, they eventually added a “Sample Combos” section in the training mode menu. That will give you the most up-to-date combos for every character.
Having issues with most of the combos did they update shit so poor jin can't get two back 3's in most combos? coz it always whiffs the second one for me.
SSJ Carl Hey man, that's a very common problem and the issue is that the 2nd b+3 MUST be performed as b+3~F instead of just b+3. So basically if you don't transition into CDS/ZEN stance on the 2nd b+3 it won't work, so instead of inputting b+3, b+3, you must input b+3, b+3~F or in other words just hold forward after the 2nd one each time.
At 1:50 combo, how do you land the b+3 after the WHF? I've been trying it for ages and my b+3 always comes out too slow after the WHF. Is there some sort of timing or spacing I'm messing up here?
Nevermind I thought you were talking about the second EWHF combo. For the combo you are asking about, you are most likely doing the second uppercut (WHF) too quickly, if you delay the WHF enough, it will allow you to end up pretty close to the opponent after the Screw, and after the WHF connects you can continue with B+3
Shadow [TK] Ok thank you very much for the tips, also thanks for the fast reply too. I'll try to get the timing down then. I really appreciate the videos you're doing, keep up the great work.
I can launch players simply using using df2. So as a player with so so execution skill what’s the benefit of using ewhf? Is it because df2 is potentially more punishable, or is it because ewhf does more damage? Because if it’s just the latter I don’t see it being THAAT worth it.
Jin's d/f+2 only launches on counter hit, while EWHF launches on normal hit and is very advantageous on block, so it can also be used a pressure tool. Not to mention the range is much greater than d/f+2 and depending on your inputs, it comes out faster too.
My best advice would be to press forward, then down-forward+2 (right punch) simultaneously, the main difference between the electric and non-electric uppercut is the speed at which you perform the inputs, so tapping forward and immediately pressing down-forward and right punch at the same time will give the electric version.
