I love catching people off guard with his grapples. your opponent immediately goes on the defensive which allows to use more of his many unpredictable tools.
Kostas Pantazopoulos The running bomb is FFF 2+4 I like to do 4Fs to make sure the move lands it also helps to buffer in move recovery. The one where he spins is F+B+DB+D+DF+F 1 it has to be kinda high and in mid air
One of my favorite videos, man. I really appreciate this as I'm an avid King player and grew up loving his arch in the story. This is very much appreciated.
Thanks for the upload man, it helped me a lot. I am new to the game and its very difficult for me to do optimal combos with 1,2, f,f+1. The link between 1,2 and f,f+1 is kinda small, is there some trick how to input it?
Steffie Kid it has to be a fast input to connect it. Go to practice mode and put on hit analysis. I can get it 3 out of 10x now . Not to sure when I'll get to using it in combo online though. I'm guessing it'll be 10x harder with how lag is. Hope that helped.
Ok so this will be my first tekken, and I really want to practice these combos in TTT2 wich I just picked up, is there any way I can find the inputs, is there a discord of some sort? I REALLy wanna main King he was my fave character as a kid, thanks in advance!
There is the Tekken Zaibatsu discord that has a King channel discord.gg/C6EG5gA and as for the inputs for the combos I have written them here twitter.com/BoxeR_King_AUS/status/858960900417437696
I only went for things that were staples and what is realistically going to happen in a game (unlike what you'll see in practice mode combo videos) but there's still a couple things I missed out on due to lack of time/money but you're right, plus it's not a great throw in 7 due to the throw break window timing increase.
CH stands for counter hit, TS! stands for tailspin (or screw) the combo extender in Tekken 7, SSR stands for sidestep right (tapping down on P1 side or tapping up on P2 side)
As a king player, i recommend a fight stick. When i used a ps4 dpad earlier i seriously started to shred the skin of my thumb because of the "Giant swing" input. Playig long sessions on controller is dangerous lol :P With stick i can play all day, also i find it to be easier to input special throws but it all comes down to preference i guess
Sweet! But be prepared for e pretty big decrease in skill and many losses, you will need some weeks to get used to the new way of playing. But keep practising and you will love it :)
Nice video but you should write down the notations in the description. In this case it is only helpful if you are already really really good at tekken.
i need a little help here, please i can't trigger Jarguar Hook (F,f+1) right after 1,2 on the PC version. I just input 1,2 F,f+2. Did u use some techniques to trigger this?
BoxeR-King thanks a bunch man. I've decided up to now to just scan my move list and see what moves are used, but niw I have a back up and check list!! thanks so much for the combos!!
actually i m using it on pc and it is running on xbox 360 drivers so i m sure there is some input smoothness problem in my ps4 controller bcuz i m not using it on a ps4! thats why it is much more difficult to perform some of the complex move in tekken 7! i m practicing it and i know one day i will execute it much more easier
XTREME HD just a heads up sometimes the ps4 controller dpad is inaccurate when going for qc's and hc's thats why people recommend the ps3 controller when playing as its a bit more accurate ^^. But for me i found that the execution for those type of commands on a ps4 controller are more of something you need to get use to on the dpad rather than the controller itself.
It's T5 f+2,2 1 iSW all over again. You must execute f,f+1 very very fast after the f+1,2 (I usually mash out the f+1,2 to keep the opponent as high in the air as possible to reduce the possibility of f,f+1 missing).
I'm having trouble landing the f f + 1 after the 1 2 in the majority of the combos. Is it the speed that matters or the distance? any help would be much appreciated
I am the same, I can land the spacing gap before the FD 3,4 into 1,2 F + F + 2 but It never connects. I have a plays tv clip if you can help me out Boxer? Much love.
check out the small clip and let me know if you can dude thank you! I think I am maybe not taking a small gap step before I do F,F+1 but cant quite see it. plays.tv/video/5935246f08f14a1c61/king-cant-land-optimal-hopkick-with-f-f-2-?from=user
quick question about that combo. does it require you to hit all the previous parts as early as possible? i.e. all parts before ff1 can have varied timings and still work, but the height of your juggled target will differ a bit. i assume this affects the ff1 followup? meaning you have to make sure you hit all parts as early as possible in order to be able to hit the ff1? or am i mistaken? edit: no, actually, there is a trick to this and i just hit it 7/7 times in a row after figuring it out. essentially, you have to let him fall a bit before the 1, 2 (so wait a bit before the two punches.) by then buffering f into the last 2, and just input f1 at the end i could do it relatively consistently.
You don't want to let them fall, you just either buffer the first f in jab recovery or f,f as fast as possible but it seems you're starting to get it so that's great, good job!
hm, that's weird then because if i do a 1, (delayed) 2 string, while already having delayed the 1 in the first place, i feel i've had more consistency. just found it odd that worked at all if you're saying you'd want to keep them as high as possible. at any rate, thanks for the tips! i'm still not completely consistent with it when i returned to the lab, so i will have to keep at it!
Doing 1,2 to f,f1 into iSW is too hard :(. I can do a lot of the standard and easy combos though. I wonder if I should play someone easier to play lol.
You have to do a mini dash after you do the 4. If you watch closely in the video, i'm doing a very slight one then doing df+4,3. You can also do uf+4 f+3 df+4,3 df+2,1 (this one you can completely mash out and the damage difference is barely anything so it's still decent)
i m sorry bro! actually i was saying that i was unable to perform the last grapple of this combo which was power bomb! now i can perform that grapple after lots of practice! now i m done with this combo of king!!! sorry for intruppting u!
In case you happen to ever visit the FR arcades again here is a link to a full list of King's combos in Tekken 7 FR patch "H" current build for a reference. You can swap the f+3 with iWS+4 in most combos to add the extra 2 points ;) forums.tekkengamer.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=143&p=767#p767
BoxeR-King for sure, but I think the reason for that is mostly the damage he does from multi- and command throws and maybe not so much combo damage. idk man
if you do uf4, standing 4, df4-3, df2-1 + fff 2+4 its around 60-70 damage if I remember right. What combos do you recommend for max damage output? that is my standard punish combo.
If you want to go full max damage and get more wall carry, replace the df+2,1 with 1,2 f,f+1. This is quite tricky and takes a lot of practice to get comfortable with. It's not a staple because of the risk factor associated with it, but if you got the execution it's very good to know
Know your pokes and their ranges, throws, mixups etc. You'll see a lot of different playstyles from videos, so try to take away what you like and apply it to your own game. Knee, Triple H, MBC, Hakaiou - (Best King in JP), any of these four is probably the most easiest you'll find vods of to watch.
i've managed to hit the optimal hopkick version with ff+1 in t7, so it's still possible. it seems very strict, though, and even after fair bit of practice i'll still only get it a fraction of the time, so not practical at least. edit: nvm can do it consistently now, so it's practical.
You can, it's just extremely difficult to do and takes a lot of practice, but not something that should be done unless you can hit it at least 90% of the time. It's a lot better just going for the standard combos than optimal damage
