Okay just because JDCR plays Kazuya for the first time in awhile now, he's apparently bad now??!! HE'S A DEFENSIVE CHARACTER!! That's his character design and that's always the way he was meant to be played. If you guys want an offensive character go play Bob(which I highly suggest). As for the "nerfs" he really only got a nerf for his crazy wall damage , his ws4, df1,4 , combo was adjusted so df2's hitboxes doesn't hit anymore at the wall, and to substitute now 1+2 is viable as an ender, albeit a little strict. His fc3+4 is -11 now which is fair since it's a high crush move. Twin Pistons being -11 was kinda stupid and that would make wavedash into Twin Pistons a legit mixup with little consequence and what's to stop it into being Yolo ed spammed out of desperation? -12 is perfect. Kazuya players are babies sometimes I swear lol.

im learning leo and watching high level leo play is so boring, she just seems like a character that shines with good fundamentals and neutral game. i might have to pick someone with more cheesy strats
Only thing that makes Kaz 'one of the best,' is punishment. As u can see in this match jdcr didnt have many things to punish considering leo is very safe. So ur on the defense for most of the match and fighting back with moves all starting at 15f or more.

That's just Kazuya lol. Player who like to be defensive will like him or players who are looking to improve their defense.

kazuya is weakest mshima again... he is maybe top 10~15 in the game atm I dont mind because his poke sucks, he is defensive char... But new defensive option would be nice, reversal similar to heihachi b1+4, or revarsal for kicks only or something like that... Also his cd3+4 is nerfed to -12 and this hurts him
+LarsJunFan Oleg Troitskii he is more defensive char, b12 is nice i11 punisher, 2,2 is 12 frame punisher... his ws12 is nice for -13 lows... his ewgf is faster(1frame) thanks to mist step... kaz f3 is great long range counter... Now,he cant really poke an opponent df1 is -7, df2 -12, df4 like -8 ff3 is slow,just like ss3, db4.. but like i said, i DONT mind it.. i just think he deserve new defensive option after all those years
it's the same kazuya we know best at punishing, worst at poking but i agree, i played him for a while and you need to be really good eveyone who plays him has more to think about while fighting, the other characters instead are easier, now i'm not saying that if you don't play kazuya you are a scrub, cause even i stopped, but i'm saying that he needs to be more like the others

Because he's really hard to use. A perfect Kazuya player should be virtually invincible because Kazuya has such excellent fundamental tools related to punishment. The hinderances Kazuya has are two and they are attributed to his character design to make him balanced. He has enormous execution requirements and his pokes are not very good. Other characters can do similar things for either lower risk or with less execution needed or they have better pokes, like Dragunov and Bob, for example.
