Coming from Mortal Kombat all of the options for moves can be overwhelming. This plus your one Jin combo video is exactly what I needed to get started so I can just work on fundamentals. I’m sure making these for other characters would be very appreciated!

Pretty insightful stuff, great video! Also (because I have never really played Jin) I have a question. Do you have to zen cancel crouch dash to get the pickup after counter hit f4? Every other combo vid I’ve seen just has a dash into CD rising 4

Zen cancel into crouch dash is one way, but you don't have to its just easier to do. F4 without Zen into a dash ws4 is harder, mainly because of the amount of distance it creates when it hits, but it's safer when blocked, because you don't transition into zen, which would leave you minus at point blank.

idk why or how it became general knowledge to jab check after electrics so I always use df2 after one cause I swear almost everybody jab checks electrics.

I honestly have no idea where that came from as well. Could be 'cause jabs can stop a lot of pressure easier? Your guess is as good as mine, tbh

Can't remember the exact mods since I got it a while back, but you can probably find them on the tekkenmods website still, since that's where I found them.

@@MystyMST at least any idea what they're called?

@@nensho._ nope. Searching up jin on the website should narrow it down though.

Assuming you know the basic frame data and control notations, learning his main key moves would be best I'd say. If you don't know frame data and notations, then just knowing basic notations is enough to start learning his key moves. A good place to start would be his f+4 (the 3rd move I talk about in this video). It gets you used to his range, and will also introduce you to his ZEN stance, which is important when you've gotten used to him, plus it's very spammable. db+4 is also a good low to learn, because it works very well with f+4. It hits hard, and its plus enough to make f4 quick enough to hit before most moves in the game come out. 2,4 (the 1st move I talk about in the video) would probably be the best thing to learn for Jin. It's a quick jab string so majority of the moves in the game will be beat out by this, it does way too much damage than it should, and it is his go-to punish move. I'd say that combo's and the much harder stuff shouldn't even be touched yet, since you're still new to Tekken, and because it would only complicate things. If you've got anymore questions just ask, might even make a video going more into the beginner stuff.
