Hmm. I thought pkb df2 combos to dck 1? At the very least it combos with ws 1 Also I think instead of f21~b at the wall, run and 21~b does maybe 2 more damage? Might not hit as low as f21 though

After a df2 ont hit Am i Still +15 after the duck in cancel ?

Hi Shinblade, thanks for the guide. Im wondering if you could do an offence/ pressure guide. Im currently at flame ruler rank and I struggle to get offence going, especially after a 112 punish. I cant seem to find good pressure from it! Thanks again

I seem to struggle against a lot of players heavily blocking constantly i dont know if im not applying enough pressure or if im just not playing him optimally i lose to every law and drag i see. Like whats the game plan if you notice they are blocking every offensive tool?

For some reason when I do the combo at ~10:15, near of end of it, I do the f21 -> PKB into machine gun, but the combo count resets at the machine gun and just counts as a 7-hit combo, any suggestions?

How do you connect f 2,1 after wall carry if its slightly far? coz i always getting running 2

i know imma get clowned on this but when i do the back 1 in practice it does not do the stun effect its just a quick hook, am i doing something wrong or is it just the stun is on counter hit?

Thoughts on using the slightly different df 1 2 1 cancel (not sure of the notation) its similar to df 1 cancel but its slightly longer it feints the 1 at the end of df 1 2 1. Is it too unsafe of a cancel?

Im gonna keep at it this is my first Tekken so Steve is really hard to use compared to me other characters ive been getting cooked in ranked and haven't struggled like this with my other Characters aside from Ling at first but i eventually got use to her but steve tough rn i play Reina, Ling, Steve,and Feng

the route I use from pkb df2 is a little different and I think it does more damage, it involves canceling pkb with db after the elbow, and then doing ws1 into the usual bnb, so if anyone in here doesnt want to have a million different routes for each combo then this one is pretty useful, I personally cannot force my brain to use pkb f1+2 yet, it's still new to me even though they added it in 7 lol edit: also would've been a cool way to show that you can cancel pkb with db too 😂

Small tip for training ducking cancels. You can do a punish setting and set it to “fast mid” instead of “record, wait 1-2 seconds, and then mid.” This way you can df 2 on block, ducking cancel, block yourself. Unless there a reason this is a bad way?

Is down 2,1 duck cancel safe? I seem to still get hit by 10 frame punish afterwards

Im so hardstuck with steve, its really hard to keep the pressure up for me. Im in orange ranks atm almost to red but i cant get out of it.

Just so you know you can set the computer to punish with whatever move you want. That way there is no room for recording wrongly

You sounded disappointed no spin in peakaboo stance. I noticed that too and was sad we can’t do a combo while remaining in peakaboo stance.

Sometimes that flicker b2 whiffs for some reason for me during the shinblade special, so if anyone else is having that same problem, you can do PB f1+2 then do b1,2, lionheart 2 to tornado and you only lose like 2 damage and a little bit of wall carry if you do the rest of the combo the same way. You might have to push them forward a little before sonic fang to make it all the way to the wall though.

a tip for practicing timing like you said with df1, you can set the second action to punish and record any move you and it will do it instantly when it can

13:08 On male characters I can get pkb df2, b11, 1, f22, 2 etc. But some of those girls will drop the 1 after pkb b11.

this helped me so much lol, especially the holding down back for the duck cancel, idk why in my mind it was just a quick tap of d/b into back, this did wonders for my muscle memory once i consciously started holding it for a sec. thanks so much for the great video homie!
