@@warfighter1988go into “controller settings” in practice mode!! You can remap all your buttons there, did it for 3+4 to left bumper and 1+3+4 to left trigger personally
I managed to do 4 TJU for the first time today after practicing since T7. Bind the taunt button on L2. You should ideally be hitting all the other taunt moves first consistently, especially B4 before TJU practice. The key for me, was paying attention to frame input data on the screen!!! I'll repeat the the frame INPUT data! Pay attention to it, otherwise you will never hit TJU. I used the Dpad STICK for the F1 taunt cancel input (slightest and lightest forward touches. I found it way more difficult on the Dpad to hit the F1 taunt cancel input ( mostly kept showing 2/3 frames on input data with the Dpad). Taunt will NEVER hit unless the F1 taunt cancel is a one frame input. This for me was the most important element to master and focus on. I realised afterwards, I was hitting F1 taunt cancel more consistently on the Dpad STICK! Check your input data and consistently practice the F1 taunt cancel showing one frame. Once you have mastered that and the input data is CONSISTENTLY showing F1 as only one frame, only then move onto practicing B2. I used the Dpad for B2. (You can set LP/RP on R1 trigger button and use this for the 2 input, I found this easier than using 2 on the actual pad), Enough practice ( hours, maybe days), you should eventually hit one. Hopefully you will then understand the total input and timing required a little better after a few successful TJU's. Hitting it in real matches may take you a while however 😂😉
I managed to land 4 taunt jet uppers after watching this vid. Thank you so much. Any other tutorial was very lazy and never went into too much detail on what exactly im looking for. But you did. You informed us that the taunt and neutral need to be 28frames anything less or more wont allow for the execution. Also knowing now that i need 3 just frames was a huge help. 1 frame forward, 1 frame neutral and then perfect 2 and back input combined with 28taunt frames and u get a taunt jet upper everytime. U earned a sub
Probably one of the better TJU tutorials out there! It rang in a few more points for me to do when practicing, like looking for Frame 28 and doing taunt 3.
I got my first tju in practice yesterday. Getting it the first time is the hardest part, it literally feels impossible until you do it once. I eventually got it to about 1 in 10 attempts. I'm even considering making a video myself since the hand motion for how i get the jet upper to be more consistently 1 frame each has never even been mentioned
For me I can consistently tju in t7, but in t8 I can’t do it almost ever. It leads me to believe that the Hurston or something has changed whether or not your input comes out in time or not. Idk what else it could be
I think you have to do much more slowly compared to Tekken 7, also the timing of the Taunt feels a little bit changed, I usually look at his left arm when it comes down to time it.
I've mained Bryan for about a year and never managed to hit a successful TJU sadly despite practicing for dozens of hours on it. I can do taunt B4 pretty consistently but TJU is a whole nother thing. This video definitely gives me some guidance to hopefully one day get it down tho. Great video man thanks for helping us out :D
I did!! :D. One day it just kinda clicked and timing just came naturally. Definitely helped me to look at the input frames to see where I was going wrong. Couldn’t be happier man
I use Keyboard but it's similar I guess but I can show a demonstration probably if you really need it, though the Video quality isn't going to be that good as I only have an Ipod for recording footage.
I may be wrong but b+4 is also 16 frames and tougher than a neutral 3, but way better, giving you free jet upper on wallsplat. Might be a good stepping stone from 3 to a freaking perfect jet upper too wdyt?
Honestly I just choose 3 to because I think learning the taunt cancel window even if it's their first time learning the Mechanic is a good introduction, this is just for people who wanna learn Bryan Fury's TJU as fast as possible I would say, though B4 is always good at the wall I can barely hit it sometimes compared to a TJU.
@@Vaenus. Damn dude! I thought I could only taunt b+4 in 7, and TJU was gonna be a practice mode fluke for me till recently. What do you play on? It makes sense abt taunt 3 being a good starting point.
@@EMMA-GAMES I uploaded a Video of a Handcam, I play with Keyboard since I don't really own a controller or Lever Controller, I would love to get one sometime in the future.
This is a super good tutorial, trying to get used to taunt b4 on stick after i switched from pad and its infuriating. The back command comes out 1 frame before the 4 every time. Any tips on the flick for b4?
I don't think there's a flick for B4 it's basically a just frame, 28 frames, B+4, you could try to press 4 before the Back input or have a feel for the gate, I honestly struggle with B4 than TJU haha.
im on keyboard too, what button layout do you use and whats ur taunt button bound too. i have mind bount to L and J I K O is my 1-4. do you think that s slowing me down as im swapping fingers from L to I?
I use WASD, and Arrow keys as my 1,2,3,4 and my CTRL set to 1+3+4 bind, maybe you could experiment with that layout, I stole that Keyboard layout from Toto in his video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AJVT27YeCgU.html
@@jordanwhite4963 One of my friends did that to experiment with his electrics as Jin but he eventually switched back, honestly it's up to you to find a perfect solution you could try buffering 1+4 on your keyboard and pressing 3 or J (Left Kick) to do the Taunt, I used to do that in Tekken 7 but with my Arrow keys setup.
I found you can consistently get the frame 1 forward input on stick by doing like half a forward input by NOT pushing all the way to the notch. You can turn on inputs and barely tap your stick forward till you see you got a frame 1. Then, I just grab my stick normally and practice the jet uppers just frames.
@@PitbullPuppy12 Well, I don't know if I say I made it easier or anything, I assume I do what everyone does. But, I'm getting pretty consistent with TJU. I kinda throw my wrist at the stick very quickly to get 1f, then catch it with my thumb and bring it back while pressing 2, 90% of the time I get 1 frame forward
Just gotta have to learn where the lever activates honestly like feeling the gate, I've been hitting them more consistently on my lever controller than on keyboard imo, but I play with a Japanese Lever on my Mayflash F300.
I’ve never done it once. I could do electrics lee’s just tframe kick where you hold the leg thunder god fist twice in a row. Other hard shit. They need to make it easier.
You have to be super quick, it's much easier on Keyboard / Mixbox than on PS5 controller or Lever I noticed, Ideally you want to glide your finger from front to back or back to front if you're on controller, also thanks.
Taunt Jet Upper was so much easier in Tekken 5, Bryan Fury didn't get the Jet Uppercut until Tekken 5, and Taunt was always a thing since 3, I think it was +18 frames in the OG version and DR nerfed it to be +17 frames until Tekken 6 arrived and it was only +16 frames, I think Jet Upper was 13 frames in Tekken 5 and later nerfed down the line to 14 frames.
Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition, but I dunno I think the WASD is faster inputting then the Arrow keys, as I can't really do electrics that well on it.
I do it on PS4 pad. You just gotta be quick and practice doing a perfect jet upper first (forward, neutral, back + 2 on the same frame). Press fowrard than quickly slide your finger to back, and press 2 while sliding to back to get b2 in one frame. After that comes the easier part, you gotta learn taunt timing so you can execute your inputs the on the frame that taunt connects
@@FollowTheDamnTrain0 like i understand the “science” behind it. this and that for one frame and such. but like what technique do people be doing on their controller to make it work. how hard they pressing or some shit like that…
@@Humpback-kd6rj For me personally i use L1 to bind 3+4. So L1 and 1 to taunt. And I used to mess it up alot and get b2 instead of jet upper because I was doing it just a bit too fast. But then I changed my timing and now I can do it somwhat consistently. What inputs do you get when you try it? Is it b1, a jab, df2, or do you get the jet upper but it doesn't connect?
@@FollowTheDamnTrain0 I get a jet upper but it’s too slow. always couple frames off no matter how fast i try and the faster i try, the more imprecise it gets
You just have to get them to respect you by 1 or 1,2 jabbing them all the time until they calm down, once you see them trying to back up at the wall you can shoot your shot, also a taunt can interrupt a Heat too so they can't use Heat to get out of a Taunt set up.
@@Vaenus. Doesn't matter really these games are not tekken and you could be the reason they stop playing think about that. I'm not hating on you I just think smurfing especially in these games where there is lot to learn is inappropriate.
you dont think a literal free mixup and the absolute peak of the character is worth it? do you think you can beat God with just Snake Edges? pick a different character my dude. Maybe a Mishima or something
@@satsu3098the taunt jet upper doesn’t need to be learnt at all but his other options out of it do need to be learnt I’d say to create mixups and stuff, but cmon how freaking cool is it to land a TJU!
