Players tend to hate on characters they don’t ever play or learn. If you hate king, learn him and play him off and on and you’ll see things happening in slo mo next time you match with one
Shut up. You king mains love playing easy, broken characters with zero skill and then tells us to “learn him” Why spend your life trying to learn one character. I actually have a god damn life
I like how you don’t let people float their egos on you with their mighty ruler validations and character hate. People forget not everyone is playing for the same purpose as them
First Tekken for me and my brother since Tekken 5. Both came back and resumed our old mains to learn Tekken 8. As a Bryan main coming back from a ten year break, fighting his King in Tekken 8 is incredibly oppressive.
Just started playing with King the last few days. I'ma loyal and dedicated Law main, but man, King is super fun in this game. I'll watch this, and study Lil Majins KING for sure
@sucinistro I see what you mean. I was started to feel that to. I only played with him in T7. I said, Im not doing that in T8. It's too many great opportunities to find a solid secondary character to master, and just try to play with everyone. How a character feels to you, while you play is crucial!
@@LBS851Ngl even Majin himself admits his king isn’t what it should be but obviously he’s extremely good and smart but you won’t pull off Majin stuff unless you practice heaps, I play king and have some hours in and still mixing up is hard when you try replicate someone else haha you will play better if you adapt your own king style
I like your take on ranks a lot. tekken 8 is my first tekken game and besides smash bros my first fighting game im getting into, after a lot of grinding and watching your guides and other creators guides I managed to reach red ranks with both king and drag which felt like a good accompishment as a new player. I have played league of legends for 12 years and that community has the exact same mindset about ranks. If youre diamond in that game people still call you trash even if youre statistically at the top 5% of players in the game. Players get so hyper fixated on high rank streamers/content creators/pro players that they are completely out of touch with what the game actually looks like for the average player.
I hear Majin say "if you king point his finger and coming at you just grab him " haven't tried it out but something I will definitely consider when facing king . Hope it helps
He can input 4 earlier and low kick you from quite a distance though. Grabbing would do no good. However if he runs very close to you, yes. Low attacks and heat stuff are also good
Love your guides and content mate! Thanks a bunch :). One thing tho! Could you pleeeease turn on commands when you are in training/warm up training? Would be hugely appreciated :). Keep up the amazing content my dude
you can do the masku tech on crack with king's heat smash if they back getup they eat the heatsmash in certain situations(like tombstone, the rko, half of his chainthrows, his d1+3 air throw, and more) hope this isnt in the video cuz i havent actually seen anyone talk about this before
You're better off doing it with uf3+4 or shoulder to avoid wasting heat. TBH, though, there is zero incentive to hold backwards on getup against King in T8. Just get up standing every time. He lost most of his oki options except for a handful of bankroll catches in this game.
@@thefabledenglishman6000 1. people usually default to holding back to stay safe, you overestimate people's ability to adapt to the character theyre fighting 2. quick stand in the situations i use heat smash gets them launched with df2 1(some of them with f2 d1 2) And most of the times i use this type of setup is on moves that most people never use, my favorites are d1+3 and 1+3 air grab My absolute favorite setup thusfar can catch quickstanding aswell(its harder to explain tho) Id say it isnt a waste of heat to have a chance of killing them outright
@@thefabledenglishman6000 *also wdym use the shoulder its way too slow to do this ive tried(uf3+4 is also way too slow) maybe youre misunderstanding how im using it
@@thememelords9491 Shoulder catches backrise after multiple moves AFAIK - e.g. f1+2, b3:1+2, f3:1+2 (although it's a frame perfect input). Again, the problem with all of these setups is that there's no real mix-up. If they know, they can just stand, or stay on the ground. It's just scrub killer stuff.
@@thefabledenglishman6000 the air grab d1+3/2+4 is the one i use most often shoulder doesnt catch its too slow they can just block F2 1 catches back rise, df2 1 catches quick stand(heat smash also catches backrise) same for tombstone(except the backrise is heat smash only from my testing) Staying on the ground doesnt work because heatsmash hits grounded So i dont think youre thinking about the same oki stuff that i am, different situations
Instantly as I hear "king's wavedash has no utility" I knew this dude has no business coaching for king. As soon as a king player can wavedash well, they're playing undoubtably the best character in the game
i couldn't believe it for a sec, but the player at 45:34 was basically a pro plugger in tekken 7, would have these crazy win streaks and just rage quit right away when he lost. left 10 comments on my steam profile calling me a freak loser because i beat him, he rage quit, and i said ggs lololol
hey my friend fellow king main here was wondering please how to do the up 2 move where king flies upward in the air. you somehow do it with directional input how do you do this please???????thanks in advance dude.
Some people in Yellow are complete mashers while others are actually fundamental players. In orange, it's a mash fest. Everyone wants to win like their life is on the line, its pure hell. However all streamers and content creators somehow find players that don't really destroy buttons.
And i think i matched with you and beat you 3-0 while you were usin bryan few days ago and you rage quit unless theres your impostor on ranked with exactly the same name
One of the biggest things I hate about new King, is how they changed the timing to his F3, and B3's 1+2 throw. In Tekken 8 when its on CH you can just spam 1+2 and get it everytime, no skill. AND for some strange reason his B3 is armoured, tf outta here
@@punishedwhispers1218I wouldn’t put drag up there. Not anymore at least. There’s worse than drags t7 gameplay, super steppable everything and high hitting mids. His new low is literally launch punishable for a knockdown, when jin has a better one that low profiles, launches, forces crouch on hit, and isn’t even -15. Hes fine lmao. Nerf the people like Jin and Jun first then we’ll talk about nerfs.
@@punishedwhispers1218people don't understand what makes a character really broken, they are stuck in low ranks and get bombarded with throws because in 30 year they haven't figured out how to break grabs. There are so many characters in this game that can mix you up with throws too.. but they only see omg rko, it's unbreakable!!
We need an anti king guide coach .King is really disgusting right now in ranked, they need to nerf him and remove the unbreakable throws. It's really stupid to have them on king
I’m a yellow rank scrub :( everyday I think bout starting again with someone else but this is my first Tekken and it’s obviously not the character cause I Win against people my skill level but a lot of the times your fighting experienced people that are being other characters higher so you get absolutely wrecked 😂
Nice video, king is one of the first i have used tekken8 very fun and still use it sometimes. Decided to try Bryan now, would love a video for him with basic and common strategies similar to the kazuya videos coaching beginner and Intermediate play😊 Anyway great content, the breakdown of what you are doing during the match and why is always so usefull.🪙
nah, you can tell when its a puninsh throw, theres a different sound, some people on reddit said to me, its not unbreakable but the window is much tighter, so the guy was ultra lucky, idk @@Tuxedosnake00
This is such a great series! Is there any chance you'll do one for Dragunov? Seeing as he's the most popular character right now, I'd bet a lot of people would be interested. Including me of course!
