@@Channel1Mind My problem is with his neutral game. Every character lost a bunch of CH launchers. However, King lost them all bar 2. B 1,2 which has been catastrophically nerfed from b1 as it is no longer safe + it now gives a shit combo. He also has Cd 1+2 which is slow and, hot take, should be plus on block instead of -5. He lost CH ff1, Ch db3 and ss2. The were great keep out tools for me when I was going against a pesky Hwoarang because of how punishing they were. His power crushes don't do it for me. They are either safe but very high, unsafe or just doesn't seem to work half the time (skill issue with me not knowing how to use db 1+2) . His throws felt really strong with CH and easier iwr. However, outside of heat, Jaguar Dash felt underwhelming because of how interruptible it is. It would be OP otherwise, right? Some these other characters are looking pretty damn OP to me. I only had the weekend to play so I struggled to adapt. Maybe he is stronger than ever before but I haven't worked out a new playstyle yet. I was playing King, Bryan (very strong) and Raven (very strong). Maybe I just need more time.
@@hydrowolf363 I felt the same exact issue. In T7 footsie type of matches king felt really powerful, but the weird powercrush properties, and removal of safe CH tools, made facing T8 agression rushdown type of matches feel really bad to play against.
@@hydrowolf363100% agree, i understand they want king to rely more on throws, but that just makes him more boring since his combos are just launch, bound then shining wizard, which does more damage than if you do a 7 or 8 hit combo. He's just not as fun anymore compared to the other characters, which made me switch to Jack, and thank God I did cuz holy shit he's so fun even though he's completely broken

@@tonson5214 lol you'll be surprised from any rank to high you'll get hit with it if you delay it on back turn even out of habit I still used it in Tekken 8 CBT and still hits because there to scared of his low. I'm not gonna argue with you even if the move is slow it's a missed move
He has even done a video on this a few years ago, That if you are like -7 to -9 you can not side step, or you will get hit. He knows it, he just wanted to rant about how good that mid knee is.
@@twistedgambit9084 idk if youre new but ill explain. a hellsweep is an unseeable low string (low, mid)that knocks down and sometimes even gives guaranteed follow ups. a good example would be kazuya's CD4,1(the term hellsweep comes from this move specifically, but its now a term to categorize this style of low). a snake edge is a slow reactable 1 hit sweep that gives a full combo like feng's db4 or backturned sweep.
@@sakashimayokoshimahapofusagari So old Jin's crouch dash 4 was not a hellsweep because it was a single hit? Back kenpo 4,1+2 is low/high, can't be a HS according to your theory. Lars' ff4,3 doesnt knockdown, also not a HS? Feng used to have a low/high string being NC and unreactable, was that a HS? Heihachi had a HS, was not NC.
I'm a Feng main and I jumped right into the beta with no practice or training and was stomping people. He's basically the same with some neat stuff sprinkled on top.
There's tons of nerfs, most of which you covered, but not all. d2 doesn't knock down on ch. db3 doesn't track as much, is 18f, and has nerfed oki. ss4 launches only from very close range, and insta bounds. f 1+2 doesn't launch, is heat engager now. f 3+4, 2 is no longer a mid-launcher. df3 goes directly to bounce and throws opponent forward. f3,4, bounces immediately qcf 1+2 is now neutral on block. punch parry no longer launches. 2~1, 2 no longer exists, that used to be a strong, tracking mid launcher that was hit confirmable 1+4 no longer exists, that was a low-high string that was very useful against the wall (Knee loves it to close rounds). df4, 3 no longer bounds. bt 1+2 no longer knocks down. With the universal nerf to d4, this means that Feng's launch and low game has been very nerfed overall. In addition, his carry and combo damage is overall not as strong. He is strong, but I think nowhere near Jun, Jin, Claudio, or Lili right now.
@@CosmicVoid420the initial one can connect from many more routes than the latter. df4,3 has a better hitbox than df4,2 It also has much better recovery, but I think the tornado system is generous enough with frames to make that not matter.
You’re missing a lot of small nerfs like db1+2 and other stuff being slower and ch’s and a ton of tracking changes but every character that isn’t scrubmans main is broken I almost forgot
To any players that main feng outside of basilakis you know you are choosing the easy option nd you are not manly enought to pick a character with balls. In my eye you are permitted to play this character after you have understanded how easy he is by playing other DIFFICULT CHARACTERS like bryan, mishima characters, steve e.t.c you know characters with balls, then and only then you are permitted to play feng cause only then you will understand that you have to do 3 times less effort than the rest of the cast with some exceptions. And as main man said. If you lose with feng is all on you.

Not really. Tier 1 is 4.99 and even then Twitch itself keeps 50% of that. So we are talking about 2.500 a month from the subscriptions. He surely gets income from other stuff but I don’t think it would add up to 10K a month. He is still doing incredible though! Making a comfortable living off his biggest passion is what anyone could ask for!
@@redstoppem1821 suffers or suffered. T7 Feng has braindead easy pokes which are incredibly effective, low execution everything and has every tool he needs to effectively deal with every situation. No execution. Multi purpose tools. Season 4, he is not like Jin.
As a Feng main I want db3 CH property removed. Yes the damage is crazy but you just end up in silly rock paper scissor situation. Yes objectively by numbers it is better but its just feels bad and boring. Just give me small frame advantage, keep me close and let me choose what I do next to pressure the opponent.
I just cant understand, how Harada's team maked Tekken3, 4, 5, 6, tag, tag2, mobile Tekken and Tekken7 and tones of patches for all of that, but still cant do balanced game. That doesnt look stuped now. Thats looks like "we just dont want to do many work, we want money". Sry mr Harada, i think that you are iconick person for fighting games, but now SF6 and Tekken7 is my choice, and i dont want to buy and play completelly broken game. And after all Tekkens i know, that first really balanced patch is like 1 - 3 months after game started. And after it, DLC and guest characters can broke balance again.. So, ill be waiting for 50% or more sails. I still remember Bryan hatchet kick launcher, S3 and Akuma.
I really wish they nerf Feng a lil but give back +frames on his qcf headbutt, its just a fun move to pressure with and doesn't feel unfair to fight vs for me too
Im sure there is a dead horse for every time you call a fictional male character uglier, like dude, Leroy ain't no handsome man himself, the heck you on😂😂 And ftr, Kazuya is way more op then Feng, and so is Lars, Claudio, King, etc. 😉
Day 3 and there isn’t a single Feng in the top 100 leaderboard for rank points. This is such a half baked overview completely ignoring all his nerfs bc tmm is bad at the matchup
As a long time Feng main since Tekken 5 I gotta say I’m not liking some of his new animations… Part of what I love about this character is how beautifully animated he’s always been - But some of his new stuff really looks clunky visually
