Man...IDK. T7 Jin, in the words of homelander, was "Perfect. Down to the last minuit detail.". As Devilster showed, Jin's fighting style had a flow of motion unlike any other character. I'm gonna have to wait and see what the new fighting style and flow looks like with more time.
Thank you for displaying all the “changes” that Jin had compared to his T7 counterpart, way better than a video I saw earlier just showcasing all his T8 moves.
Man Jin is super strong now and easier to play with the automatic electrics during heat and zen. Gonna be tons of Mishima players this time around, which is a good thing. Sucks never seeing good mishimas in ranked or tournaments.
I'm disappointed they made him easier now.. TK7 Jin was much too fun.. I hope people with better execution can still get way more creative milage out of him again.
I mean he's the poster boy of Tekken so usually most fighting games have their poster boy be fairly easy to use(Ryu, Sol, Ragna, Kyo, Liu etc.)with Jin being the exception. That didn't stop me from playing him since liking a character overcomes however hard they may be to use.
... I'm not one to be disappointed, but I'm more disappointed with the comments here about Jin being changed too much. Like this new Jin seems actually fun to me with these changes and yeah, they made him easy for new players to get into it, but that really just means people can get into Jin head first and not be too afraid. And yes, it's "easy now, lol jin is now scrub character", but people like Devilster and other high level Jin players are still able to get more crazy in depth stuff. Y'all are complaining about new changes being made easy. Y'all are just being gatekeepers. We need more barriers to be open for more people to try out Jin without being afraid.
I felt a little uncomfortable with Jin’s changes, the entire game is changed.. idk if I’m ok with this, maybe just need time to get confident with the new Jin, but for now I kinda miss the old version
There’s also a potentially new way to zen cancel by side stepping after a crouch dash. Though how quickly you can side into block and if it’s safe are not I’m not sure.
I'm probably the only one who prefers the older animation of his Zenshin 3+4. A flying sidekick animation done right. His flying sidekick in Tekken 8 looks like a roundhouse kick but hitting with the heel; he doesn't tuck in his knee close to his chest.
My friend who always loses to me Tekken hoped that they wouldn't make Jin or Lars better in Tekken 8, and well.... he didn't get what he wanted 😂 they got better.
I hate that his Mental Alertness went from b+2 to either b3+4 and/or f3+4. My muscle memory got so used to its original input but it gave him more options so I kinda like that. I may have to unlearn everything I know about him in T7. Rush is the only thing I find difficult to chain rn.
Hellsweep was nerfed af. The fact that single hellsweep doesnt knock down sucks. Youd think a move as risky as hellsweep would have the high reward it used to have in T7
He can't. He also doesn't transform fully (no horns or fangs, only one wing etc.) and doesn't use any true fly moves, which makes me hopeful that Devil Jin will be in T8 eventually. I just have a hard time believing they would just get rid of DJ's design like that, it's pretty iconic after all. I know Jin got some of his moves, but it wouldn't be that hard to just give Devil Jin some new moves instead that use his demonic powers, wings, claws more to make him more different from Jin.
they basically nerfed him wtf . jin is already one of the hardest characters and very demanding ....why did they nerf him . ( i am a jin main btw. and am eternal ruler with him)
I thought the same thing at first. But then I really thought about it. Most people don't know how to use Jin properly. So easy access to it won't really help them. Plus, it's much slower than doing electric off rip. So, I'll use both. I get consistent electrics 85-90% of the time.
