This combo works with a female character. However, for a male character, you need to sidestep right before ch db4.

@leonflorence118 In fighting games, this is common. Because we like a variety of characters, we end up with a variety of sizes. In 2D games, this is particularly pronounced. In the end, what matters are their hurt boxes. Smaller characters typically have smaller hurtboxes, which can make certain combos fail. This is also the case for bears, Marduk, gigas, etc., as they have short legs, and thus some combos miss when, on normal characters, you'd hit their ankles.
