Your perception of LTG is outdated. Not only does he not act like this often anymore but he rarely and I mean rarely acts this way with people he knows is good. His infamous persona is still him, partially but extremely exaggerated.
I reasonably expect him to have fundamental skill, it's just that he consistently has a mountain of excuses prepared for losing to dumb stuff or anything he doesn't consider legit- which isn't very consistent. He always says he can lab this, easily counter that, but instead of just doing it and moving on he has a ragequit and a ban ready at the go. If you don't beat him the right way you're a troll/stream sniper/trash player/ or all of the above. There's also the fact that he's playing Victor but ignoring that, of course he's a decent player. He just has the worst mindset imaginable, which I partly can't blame him for keeping up because of the amount of trolls he really does get. That's not necessarily an excuse for never actually attempting to change however. If he did everything he said by labbing or even just shutting up everytime he loses he could probably start gaining some respect.
@@ArtcadeShow If you lose against a masher, most likely it was on you whether you just weren't good enough or didn't know the matchup. Both are valid reasons for losing but there's a difference between accepting that and moving on / improving or continually dismissing the loss in the first place and raging. If all he plays against is mashers, he could be an expert in scrub techniques by now. I should know- I'm a professional scrub myself.

He’s not decent, he just fishes for victor’s WS launcher among other launch punishable moves and rarely gets punished for it because nobody is familiar with the matchup currently. He also spams victor’s gun, armored move, and low-high string all of which can be ducked and launched. On top of that, he’s super vulnerable to mids because he constantly ducks to fish for the launcher. Anyone who adapts to this can beat him easily and LTG himself refuses to adapt whatsoever. The instant you counter his cheese he basically gives up and rage quits. I played him a few days ago and he gave up and lied on the ground before the end of the 2nd round because I was kicking his ass. Then came the inevitable excuses, calling my costume “corny”, and blocking me 😂
LTG mainly plays zoners, so that's why he tends to be patient and defensive. He just tilts the moment he gets knowledge checked by gimmicks and that's why when playing against a composed/fair player like TMM's Kazuya, he can play a bit more solid. You also keep hearing TMM trying to learn Victor counterplay instead of aggressively trying to win.
@@zato-1766 no, if TMM decided to pick Dragunov and spam his strongest moves, it'd be 5-0 probably. LTG just cant deal with a playstyle meant to break compsure, no matter who it is. Think about Guile, Honda and for Tekken it'd be Hworang, Devil Jin, Lili etc.

I don't see the argument you're trying to make here. And frankly I just simply don't agree that LTG ever plays in a way I would consider "solid" knowledge checks or no. The dude is playing a character that is actually broken rn, and he makes sure to abuse those throws online (notice how little he throws versus TMM versus how much he usually does, dude is clearly aware he'll get called out for it here), and he rqs to boost his shinryu rank which isn't that high a rank to begin with. Dude was hard stuck orange with 700 hours in T7. You should definitetly be higher ranked than that after that much time but LTG never takes the time or energy to learn to play the game, he just does the exact same annoying runaway playstyle in every game and as soon as he runs in to someone who can beat it rqs and blocks them.
@@zato-1766 devil jin's move list is way less straightforward and he adds a bunch of gimmick above the solid mishima kit, he has dumb divekicks, powercrushes, flying moves, homing heat smash etc. Also, I'm assuming that he'll never improve in T8 also and stagnate somewhere in purple if he's lucky, whereas TMM will get god of destruction. Victor will get nerfed anyways.

For someone who's whole personality is fighting games, and has mainly played fighting games like Tekken since his childhood, he's not that great. Watch him play other types of games like Mario Kart or Mario 64, shit is hilarious
That's the thing, he doesn't *completely* suck, he does have some decent fundamentals. However his gameplan is usually very basic, he crumbles easily once it stops working, and he is TERRIBLE at adapting to his opponent. That's where people say his mentality gets in the way of him being competitive, and they're totally correct. Using Street Fighter as an example, If his opponent is doing something excessively that is working against him (Using throws, wake-up reversals, Drive Impacts etc.), instead of recognising the patterns and adapting to counter them, he just complains about it and continues eating them. If he makes mistakes and gets punished for them (especially repeated mistakes), instead of trying to figure out what went wrong and why, and what to do about it in the future, he just complains about it and continues getting punished for making the same mistake. If there's a particular move or character he struggles with, instead of hitting the lab to figure out what his options are or attempting to learn the matchup, he just complains about it, and continues to struggle. In an alternate reality where LTG didn't have crippling narcissism, he could have actually been a decent player at a genuinely competitive level. But his mentality in regards to both the game and himself completely quashes any ability for him to learn and grow, both as a player and as a person.

The way you played here was questionable LOL. I just played LTG in ranked with Yoshi and just 3,4,3+4 grabbed him. He fell for 3+4 meditate into back 2 forward 2 a bunch of times and got extremely blended. If you lost even a round to LTG I think less of your skill now tbh lol
He does suck lol. He's playing a busted character with a connection going farther than TMM probably played against Arslan and TMM almost made him look easy on that. And here they were pretty back and forth when the ball was in another court
