As if Marshall Law couldn't embody Bruce Lee's spirit anymore, his Rage Art ending with the stomp from Enter the Dragon is beyond perfect. Bruce would be so proud. Can't wait for this

Yep. He animates really well. They are doing great work with the new engine. His facial expressions are great and his general movement when executing moves looks amazing too. It just looks smooth. Really impressed with what they've done so far for all of the characters.
The facial animation is still dogshit. Fucking Tekken 5/6, SF5 and even Injustice 2 have better facial animation. This is only slightly better than Tekken 7's lifeless animations.
@@Dragon-Lander Well, I don't know if it was their intention, but they made Law a "joke" only by making him OP. Like Bo Jackson in and Jerry Rice in the early football games. Jordan, Lebron, Rolando, Messi.... Maybe not per player, but most greats had games that leaned hard on their prowess and OP stats. Just what I saw playing sports games over the years and this is, kinda, a sports game.
Nah man, for me, I still got to go with Fei Long. He is Bruce to a T. This character has of course a lot of Bruce but they still wanted to give him his own originality. Fei Long is Bruce Lee named Fei Long, lol.
As a Bruce Lee fan..this may have just sold me on this game. The muscle flexing along with that finisher, the nose brush, even that side kick?! Bruce is the reason I play fighting games, I love all of the iterations that pay tribute to the wonderful legacy he left behind for us!
That quick nose rub though. Makes me wish we got some decent Bruce Lee games. Like, imagine an open world Big Boss game or Way of the Dragon Game. They play out like the movie but with side plots and with multiple endings that are different from the movies.
@@magicseahorse yeah, Lees family has I think asked for things to stop being made in his image and or likeness, but I'm not familiar with their involvement with street fighter or this. Tough spot when people love his fighting style and overlook his life as a husband, father and philosopher. So much more but I'm curious as to why he continues to show up in UFC as Bruce

Re- watching this for the first time the initial reveal. They're leaning in really heavy on the DSS. They were trying to shift away slightly in T7, but that stance is essential to Law. It's like AOP for Ling or the stances of zafina, or... Looks like they're giving him even more transitions and moves from it now. Really hoping they bring back DSS junk yard though.
Not only within the fighting itself but the fact they added a mode that has this whole 90's ARCADE vibe to it as an extra mode. I'm hyped as hell, I love the concept and the way they approached it with the chibi look and all. It's perfect! I'm actually glad they didn't make it all realistic like in SF.
As a Marshall/Forest Law main since 3, luv the attention they put into him cosmetically and his mooveset since 5. Hes even got Bruce's shuddering intense emotion after doing the death stomp.
@@josecat436 During 1 and 2 his moves were kinda generic...in tekken 3 his son Forest started to look more like Bruce and his moves expanded on, with the headlock/heel kick, and his punching more emulating Bruce's..In tekken 5, they went even further with charges into punch variations and kicks that emulated Bruce and the ever iconic Dragon Kick....now he's prolly the best Bruce clone in a fighting game in a market that includes Jann Lee's, Lui Kang's, Fei Longs, Dragon Chan's....ect.
It's like no matter what game there is, Bruce is everywhere. He is not only an innovator but the mystique of him continues to blaze more trails. Marshall Law in this game, makes me want to get Tekken 8 without question.

@@Anonymous-dg5je well Marshall Law was the original fighter who was made to represent Bruce Lee in the Tekken series. He was in Tekken 1 and 2, and has been in every major game except Tekken 3 when the creators decided to TRY and literally replace him with (Forest Law) his son. The reason Forest has not returned to the main series and has only been in Tekken 3 (97), Tekken Card Challange (99), Tekken Tag Tournament (99), Tekken Advanced (01), Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (11) and the Tekken anime film (97) is because he was and still is just not liked as much as Marshall. They also do not use the exact same main moves if you have played the game. Compared to other added players (even relatives of original ones) who have been in the same game with their relatives, Forest and Marshall have not. Ultimately it would have been relatively easy to change the story and put Forest back in or but them both in, but since that character is obviously ment to represent Bruce Lee, having 2 in the same game (with just minor separate moves) would be a bad idea. 7 of the 8 main games now have had Marshall Law, and the vast majority of people love it. Replacing Marshall with Forest (like in 3) would be bad, and having both would be... simply a waist, especially since the reason Marshall is there is because of the bike accident storyline.

I think we can all appreciate how much of a legend Bruce Lee is to have his likeness featured in basically every fighting game created since. Tekken has now officially created a Bruce Lee simulation in Marshall Law

I think the thing about this Marshall Law as well as the other characters we’ve seen so far is that most if not all of them have gained a bit more confidence and or free fighting spirit as a lack of way to put it. They’re not one dimensional and serious in every given situation like some of them were in previous games. I think Law’s change here reflects more as a tribute toward Bruce Lee with some facial expressions being very similar to him. There’s nothing “goofy” about it in my opinion. It’s more expressive without the incredibly pent up expressions he previously had. Being serious doesn’t account to more realism, it just gives a game more of a ground-level mature feel. The reason I feel this change in temperament for a lot of these character is so good is because everyone’s staring to become level headed. They retain their identities while showing that they’re a lot more comfortable in their own skins now, more than ever. To each their own opinion tho.

Im gonna say it: best voice acting of all versions of Law, and my favorite amongst the Bruce Lee clones. Hope Matt Mercer returns when Fei Long also returns to SF6!

There is the sport of 'MMA' which is the closest to real fighting as you can get. 25-20 years ago there existed the premiere fighter tournament organization in Japan (Funded by Yakuza) called Pride FC. They were later absorbed by the UFC. But the announcer (this one) is revered by the entire MMA community. Go watch wrestlemania and play dead or alive u mongrel

That muscle flex is so satisfying. The vascularity details and an overall character design is insane. Literally, this character will be one prime reason i'll be getting this game. Very impressive of bandai namco and the entire team involved to craft this game. I m very much excited...looking forward eagerly to get this game and destroy those buttons playing marshall law.
Yes!! with each new character trailer the game is starting to resemble the first trailer more and more. The lighting is more defined and dramatic. I'm starting to think the second trailer had footage from previous builds that made it look not much different from Tekken 7, but this one is truly next gen.

I've been a LAW main for over 25 years. This is the best he's ever looked. The character model, the new moves and animations and OMG THE RAGE ART update was desperately needed. Tekken 8 can't get here any faster!!!

I liked 7, but I feel the series hasn't matched Tekken 5/Dark Resurrection (which I personally thought were the best ones). This looks closer to achieving it.
Law is my favorite no doubt about it. I love the game the 2 one os the one that got me hooked back in the day and law was the man who got me hooked. I knew every combo/ counter one hit kill there was with him can’t wait to play the new game get ready for new challenger.
Literally love his design now, they really did their best to make him look like Bruce Lee. But his rage art is perfection, paying homage to enter the dragon and his intro from return of the dragon🔥🔥🔥

@@matthewrocks23 Why is he so bulky now? Marshall Law was modelled off of Bruce Lee. He's a lean martial artist. A muscular build wouldn't be able to pull off Bruce Lee style quick martial arts.

Terrible design. Nothing to do to Bruce Lee. Forest law was already the "digitalized version" of Bruce Lee since Tekken 3. Marshall law was supposed to look older as he was in Tekken 5, instead he looks like a dude in early 20's on full steroids.
Marshall Law is probably the best Bruce Lee homage character ever made and with this update in T8 whoa they even did the “Enter The Dragon” slashes he has and even stomp finale…amazing! MK has Liu Kang a close one I’d say it’s a tie. SF has Fei Long but Capcom hasn’t used him in ages hopefully for 6 they finally bring him back too.

This version of law has a lot of personality. These trailers have been really great to showcase the characterizations in making characters unique. I love it. Being a competitive Tekken player and other fighters. Tekken 8 is gonna be really cool to play especially with the uniqueness of the heat mechanic. Law in heat mode looks like an over pressure monster... Law mains are gonna be eating good once T8 hits. Also can we also appreciate that Ajurikas new track is absolute 🔥 for these trailers!
