I have a bad feeling her character role would be suspicious if she is in story mode as she was with the zaitbatsu. However personality wise we do match in coldness and indifference in life
Incorporating guns into her regular fighting style instead of just gimmick items makes Nina feel so much fresher than before. It feels like a natural progression of her kit
They need to do the same for Lei Wulong. I waited for him to fire his gun since Tekken 2 and with Yoshi and Kuni having weapons there it wasn't far fetched (plus Devil/Angel lasers and stuff).
The "Female Fatale" look really suits her and you can hear the maturity of her voice. They did an excellent job here. Nina is my second main character after Hwoarang. Can't wait to see Hwoarang and Zafina (if she becomes available) 🎉🎉🎉

I hope every character gets updated battle voices, even the non-English/Japanese voice actors who don't have as much experience doing battle cries and stuff.
It looks like they tried to combine Nina and Anna's aesthetic. The clothes and the hair in particular scream Anna. The exposed diamond shaped chest, the viper glasses, the short hair, the dress...💙
One thing I really also hope in the final product is that character have different fighting stance. It's pretty dull seeing the same idle pose from T5, really want this game to stand out
@@kidrobot. compared to what it’s been? It is. Tk7 did this with some too but this feels even more so because the voice acting is finally redone and the graphic upgrade. There’s only so much you can change without a giant time skip. New hair, new clothes while also keeping the vibe of the character. I didn’t think they would lose Nina’s ponytail.
She looks so good! I'm glad that Mary Elizabeth McGlynn is still voicing her and has done her ingame sounds too!!!! (I'm really hoping the helicopter chasing her has ANNA in it!!!)
That "going somewhere" and "isn't it past your bedtime?" are reuse i believe. The new voice is different cause the va ages. And kinda sounds like anna for real!!
@Dinal Andy It sounds like the old voice lines you mentioned were redone. I can hear a slight tone difference in it. Overall there's a mix of her old tones with much newer, higher pitched tones making her sound like an almost completely new VA.
SHE USED THE GUNS IN THE COMBO OMG... She looks badass too, I've never really been interested in Nina, but I might pick her up because of this. Edit: Basically...it's nice to see her personality more implemented in her moveset.
@@aldofer8832 Yeah her personality is an empty shell assassin since she lost her memories. But now she's gaining Anna's personality, which I presume is because she's recovering
It looks cool, but guns shouldn't be effective against Iron Fist fighters as they can bust up steel and stone easily. Their punches and kicks are more powerful than bullets and rockets.
@@aldofer8832 Normally she's a soulless assassin who doesn't really have any aspirations throughout the story aside from maybe fighting with her younger sister Anna, but here it seems like she's exciting and she actually has genuine battlecry's whej she fights. Also the guns, a thing we see her use in the story, but never in gameplay and combo's. T8 actually looks like a completely new game (from what we're seeing), and not just a reskin of T7 (imo at least). Let's hope other characters also have the same amount of innovation, and from what we've seen so far...it's looking like it!
I think she looks incredible. Maybe a new staple look for her. They gave her some personality, and actual use of the guns she always had attached to her but never used lol
Awesome. Looks like a mix of the Cocktail Dress outfit from Death By Degrees, her purple design from tekken 2 and her Black Leather Suit. Best Nina design for me.
This new outfit makes her look like a truckdriver to me. I always felt Nina's best version was in Tekken 3. Purple lipstick 💄 was looking good and her and the her evil laugh from Tekken 3 win poses were so iconic... never been huge fan of the character but I still think was more badass back then. The gun added feature looks cool though !
Nina is still the best female character in all time, her confidence is everything whatever she looks she looks the greatest and still the badass boss bch in the house!what I like about her is she is unbothered is lit! ❤🔥
I just knew she was going to be in the game. She is one of the originals! A legend! A fan favorite! Also, I noticed not only did she cut her hair and went back to wearing purple again, but her voice is different, too. Could've sworn I heard her Irish accent come out at one point.
MAN, Nina looks AMAZING and the combo system looks incredible. This is getting me so hype for the Lars trailer as well, cause I already noticed some stuff 👀

nina is so iconic. about the new look there would be things I would change but overall she looks cool and gives off the femme fatale vibe. also I liked that they put the guns into her moves

They even updated the old Tekken / Bandai Namco opener w/ Jin and Kazuya. Brilliant! Oddly enough, with her commentary, dare I say that she somewhat reminds me of Sarah Bryant with her snark. "Isn't it past your bedtime?" "Better run home to mama now." I hope that the Tekken team implements more voice dialogue for characters this time to bring out their personalities more. But yeah, Nina looks more like personalities from female spy films now (think Atomic Blonde), like the independent contracted spy similar to her sister, Anna.
Fun fact, character designer Seiichi Ishii worked on Virtua Fighter but then went on to work on Tekken. He took Sarah's design ideas with him and therefore Nina Williams basically *is* Tekken's version of Sarah Bryant!
@@MrBoomxl -- I wouldn't doubt it, but I've never connected Nina with Sarah in any other game apart from her presentation here. I think what Bamco is doing with this game is fleshing out more of the personality of characters. Nina has always been more of a "reserved" character versus Anna as a silent assassin. Now that might change a bit more with Tekken 8.
She had best looks in 2 and 3 also Tekken is about marital arts no guns and crap they ruined the franchise since like Tekken 4 went downhill from there.
Honestly I am super happy one of my mains is back. However I dont like the outfit design that much. It kinda looks like a soccer mom going through a midlife crisis. I like some aspects like the jacket and the top part of the dress but the skirt is a no. It could have been above the knee length without the fringe and the heels could have been pointed toe pumps and higher heels. Also the hair could have been a longer ponytail or just longer to not give that Kate plus eight vibe. Just my opinion. The game play however is freaking killer. I love that
