It's because of this vid that made Hien Yondan my favorite of the Hien Katas. I still train Shotokan and always felt a connection with the fact that Jin trained a similar style to me.
@Abinanta Maheswara the katas are almost similar with a slight difference , the difference is that big , my sensei is master in kyokushin and shotokan , the biggest differences between our katas are that the hand that you pull back after a suki is fighter close to the armpit while yours is lower above the hip , ( you punch from your waist but we punch from our nipples 😂😂 , chest hights obviously, and you guys stomp the floor more while going lower to the ground, we don't stomp when doing a turning block ( gedan barai / uke , or shuto uke etc, and the minor differences are the kata names , sho dan , ni dan , san dan etc white mine is just pinan soni 1 to 5 😁
Actually these kata originate from Okinawan Shorin Ryu (Shuri te) then passed to Shotokan by Funakoshi Sensei and finally to Kyokushin by Oyama Sensei. All Koryu (Ancient) kata are from Ryukyu (Okinawa) modified from their original Chinese versions.
This form just relaxed my mind and body from my cold. Releases the sinus pressure and all, it's the simple wonders of the world that does the most amazing things for your body. -_-
the music is very beautyful and it's just a great moment to see Jin doing this kata. great video! I just wonder how you got the Embu on Building Stage ...
@6Dragon6Software yes in shotokan its called like that, but in kyokushin we call it pinan sono yon and its exactly executed as in this video except less sloppy
we all have em just not to the point where we got shot in the head by our granddad but ye i reckon the creaters just didnt want 3 very similar people plus this is better for him anyway
