Tekken (Japanese: 鉄拳, meaning "Iron Fist") is a 1994 Japanese media franchise centered on a series of fighting games developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment (formerly Namco). The franchise also includes film and print adaptations.
The main games in the series follow the events of the King of Iron Fist Tournament, hosted by the Mishima Zaibatsu, where players control a plethora of characters to win the tournament and gain control of the company; the conflict between the Mishima family serves as the main focus of the series' plot, while players explore other characters' motivations in aiming to control the Zaibatsu.
Gameplay focuses on hand-to-hand combat with an opponent, with the gameplay system including blocks, throws, escapes, and ground fighting. The series later introduced combos and special moves, with characters also able to stage break arenas. Tekken is noted as being one of the first fighting games at the time to use 3D animation.

I think that was Xiaoyu's main goal, to show the people who Jin really is. The idea that she believed he was good deep down, and that this was the route he was going on. T8 jin really kind of proved that his goodness remained, he was just blinded by hate.

It’s funny to me that I shipped these two right away during Tekken 3 release - only based on the fact that they both had school uniform alternate costumes. And with that, I also decided the young successor characters of Tekken 3 were fellow high school students. So in my canon, it was decided Julia, Hwoarang and Forest Law attended Mishima Polytechnical school too, and were in a love triangle.

Its nice because the game always hinted they were close before the ending of T3, and that in Xiaoyu's T4 intro Jin at least reached out to warn her, doubling down on the idea they were friends. In T8, Jin sayibg its been a while since they used to spar, and her moves have improved at least show that they did at some point hang out. And his smile at her was adorable, he certainly showed that they had some measure of closeness.

I think Jin kept avoiding Xiaoyu because he doesn't want to repeat his parents mistake, which is him (besides he wanted to act like an arsehole cool guy). Now he is supposedly free from the curse, he has options now, and she might have a chance.

Jin avoided her to protect her, he knew the influence of not being able to control his DG, his journey was accepting himself, his blood & his DG. Jin had always deeply cared/love Xiaoyu. Him promising to come back to her, held her hand with both his hands, and was the last thought everytime thinking of a desire, free from the DG now, and will spend his life happy with Xiaoyu and his comrades now.

Both Jin and Xiaoyu have such an interesting Relationship Chemistry throughout the "Tekken" series over the Years, Unlike other annoying forced Couples in some Fighting Games (cough Andy & Mai cough), Jin and Xiaoyu Relationship at least takes it's Time for developing for their Affinity to each other (albeit, a very long one).

@@sdlock83 What's the point of Akira & Pai in "Virtua Fighter" when there is literally no Story, yes I'm aware there is a VF Anime where they both kissed accidentally but that's Non-Canon and was a typical common Trope you see in a lot of Anime these Days, Ryu & Chun-Li in "Street Fighter" were never an Item throughout the course of the Series for many Years, their Relationship have always been like Friends and Allies, never in a Romantic relationship.

But because they both reached iconic status in the video game industry, Capcom did not want to allow them to evolve, so they introduced Sakura in SFA2 to platonicize Chunli & Ryu's relationship.

Hopefully we get extra scenes of them in DLC, even though this is truly enough. Especially for a Tekken couple. I keep thinking of a major timeskip in Tekken 9 since we haven’t had one since Tekken 3, I will imagine Jin’s protagonist’s days will be over and it’ll be Jin and Xiaoyu child against Reina. Especially protecting Kazuya from Reina.

I imagine a Future where Jin and Xiaoyu marry and become parents of two sons, a boy and a girl. Jin trying be a best father as possible, but many times fail, and Xiaoyu always says to your childrens that their father Is The best Fighter of The world, but Is not good with familiar things and blame himself for This. And They always have to confort him to show him that he is a best father of The world, because he Care about your family above everthing. Extra scene: Jun showing UP again, because The world Is in danger again and see that she had nieces, and everthing got Dark, because Kazuya back too, and almost cause a scene for mocking his nieces and Jin prepare his fist to protect their son's honor.

This is about as canon as we might get. At the end, Jin returning to her alone feels symbolic to "going home is returning to her." The ending feels like it's Jin's new beginning of living life and being with those important to him (which the story pushed) and her being the only person feels like they mean to say this is the start of reciprocated feelings.

I love Jin and Tekken, but honestly, this is the lamest couple in all fighting games (the mainstream ones), considering the amount of screen time, how the game force things, etc.. Lars and the stupid robot "waifu" are not that far behind

@@lucky_charm4801 That's the point, they are insisting on this lame "couple" for decades, lol just now they showed signs of advancing the "romance" to the next steps. Idk why the japanese hesitates so much, this is the shonen cliche: clear signs of "romance" (usually among characters who have nothing to do with each other, their personalities don't mix) and only at the very end of the anime they get together. It's just so dumb, a alien culture indeed

I always felt like Asuka would have been a better choice due to her headstrong personality which complements Jin more. Ling Xiaoyu looks like she could be his little sister, and the pigtails aren’t helping. Or she could be his fan girl (which she technically is). I don’t know, they just seem odd together
