Tekken TAG - PS2 Launch Party February 2000 and E3 Gameplay and Footage

This month 23 years ago, the Playstation 2 launch party was held in Japan. Tekken Tag was released togheter with th PS2 in Japan the following month of March 2000.
Some of the footage comes from late '99 beta shown previously. The other later-dated content in this video comes frome E3 expo the same year as TTT1 was not released in the US and EU before October and November of 2000.
Back in the days the games released in Japan took up to 6 months before they where released in the west!

No matter how many years pass, Tekken Tag Tournament will forever be my number one favorite installment in the series and one of the greatest PlayStation 2 launch titles of all time. What I'll never understand, however, is why Namco didn't give us the option to switch between the arcade and console soundtracks. Better yet, 1 on 1 being excluded from the HD re-release for the PlayStation 3 makes no sense to me.

Something about Tag 1 is so magical, i don’t believe any other game could ever replicate it.

I'm old enough, but my internet was so shit at the time, I never could download trailers and such. Had to get my fix through reading magazines at the grocery store. So seeing this is somehow actually new to me.

TTT - my all time favourite PS2 game, and still is my fav Tekken game. Got it along with SFEX3. Seeing this footage is a true nostalgia trip

One of my all time favourites! It's impossible to match the legacy of Tekken Tag. The best gameplay, dynamically improved versions of Tekken 3 stages, number of characters, costumes, Boss character Unknown. And both Arcade and PS2 versions of Ogre's Temple BGM and Lei's Chinese city stage BGM are still my most favourites. And on top of that it is the launch title of PlayStation 2.💙💙😍😍 Those memories......As I said it's impossible to match the legacy of Tekken Tag. My all time favourite other than "Death By Degrees". 💙😍
