I'm slowly buying/replacing all of my current tools with Tekton, starting with buying things I don't have yet, and then replacing what I do have with Tekton. So far I absolutely love the build quality of them, and the durability. The 1/2" impact sockets in the set I have are of very high quality. I opted for the red hard handle screwdrivers over the comfort grip, for ease of cleaning. Nonetheless, Tekton tools are of very high quality and I can't wait to buy more! You also can't beat 10% back in rewards!

One of the things I love about the sets I've bought from Tekton is that they seem to be high quality tools and they're backed up by the best warranty you could get for tools sold online (no proof of purchase required, send a picture and possibly a description of the problem and usually they'll have one shipped the same or next day at no cost), their sets are also no-skip and they include NO FLUFF. So you might pay a little more, but you also don't end up with a 90 piece set,40 pieces of which are allen keys and screwdriver bits.

Couldn’t agree more. Craftsman is known for that in my opinion. Big number set but only 40 sockets that are actually worth something.

If you like tekton look into Stark. Part numbers stark usa 35300 (1/4"). Stark use 35301(3/8"). Stark usa 35302(1/2"). These are about half the price for the same socket sets. 3/8" set is tektons smaller set but its all the same

Man I wish stark covered the whole range.

"I just don't really think you could make a much smaller head than a 3/8ths ratchet than this." *Nepros Compact 3/8ths ratchets have entered the chat* Snap-On 3/8ths in 1/4" body as well of course.

I love tekton and wanted to complete my set with more tools and the tool cabinet. I like keeping the same brand for as much as possible. But lately I've been needing tools that, when inquired upon, they do not and do not plan on carrying. 12 point spark plug sockets, torx plus and flare wrenches for example. I think I'll end up replacing what I have for another brand to satisfy my OCD like Sonic. But they are great tools for the basics.

Ya I agree. Good stuff for the basics but to get everything, sonic is the way to go. Plus sonic has all the inserts for the drawers which is super nice.

These ratchets are incredibly strong and they feel great and are in my top two favorite ratchet designs. I would have put all the sockets in the one drawer.

They are pretty great. I wish my drawers were 6” wider but everything works nicely for what I use most.

How did you cut the foam so nice? I really like the screw driver foam.
@BrakinItDown
@BrakinItDown 3 месяца назад
Well thanks! I taped over the entire piece of foam and then marked everything out. I then cut out the foam with an exacto knife.

You would be amazed at how the 3/8" long handle ratchet did in the torque test. At over 600 ft lbs the anvil n gears never broke but the shaft bent like a pretzel. Out performed all the others on actual torque ability. Not a misprint over 600 ft lbs and the anvil n gears survived.

I have the 3/8 socket set. It comes in handy. I might get their 1/4 metric next. But other than that, i'm going to harbor freight. Icons are good enough for me, only reason why I don't buy sets from HF, is because they don't have complete socket sets.

tekton sockets really similar to icon and price is within a few bucks too but the icon ratchets and torque wrenches/breaker bars feel way better, the tekton 6 point double box end ratcheting wrenches are awesome, but icon anti slip open end is the way to go for open end.

Everyone should have the short FOLDING RATCHET! I had it for one hour and the first person that saw it ordered one on the spot! I feel like it may become my go to .

Where can I get everything that you have n the drawer?
@BrakinItDown
@BrakinItDown 11 месяцев назад
You can order it at Renton.com. I believe I have the links to each set below. And the Kiezen foam I bought at Home Depot. Cut it with a table saw and then started tracing and cutting out the foam. Hope this helps

Im a big gearwrench fan. Never tried tekton. I like smooth and quiet ratchets. Big 120XP fan!! These tekton look nice. Not a fan of those style ratchets though.

All ill say is for people who think they don't need a flex head ratchet,or a stubby ratchet and wobble extensions or even stuff like mid length sockets, work on gm gbody Pontiac and Oldsmobile V8 ac cars, and the gm fbody third and fourth gen Camaro and firebird and almost any fwd gm product lines vehicles!!

Stop! You don't use 1/4 sockets that much!?!? What about aftermarket hose clamps!? Or filler kneckk screws? I see them everywhere! I have a stupid joke ... What's between 6mm and 7mm? 1/4in. Good video. Thank you 👍
