In part one of this series, we take off the strings, clean the guitar, and talk about why I'm using old school brass saddles... that are also compensated. I also talk about my pickup choice. Lotta talking in this one that some may find interesting. Next week we do action and intonation, I PROMISE!

Thank you, good vid! I would love to get a tele, they just feel so nice to play! Have you seen the new Epiphone, Noel Gallagher Riviera Semi-hollow-Dark Red for $899, doe's this fall into Budget category? I have a 2020 Epiphone Studio Les Paul Bourbon burst and it kicks butt for the price. Wouldn't mind upgrading the pick ups some day! Love the Solid body, I don't even plug it in at night most times, rings like a bell, but looking for something a bit more acoustic these days. Thanks again...

Haven't seen the Noel Gallagher model around here, no, but I'd love to check it out. I'm a big Epiphone Les Paul fan in any way/shape/form. I have a Epiphone ES 339 which is semi-hollow, and I do like it for the jazzy stuff.

I have some fender compensated saddles..and they're not marked. So how do I know which way to install them please?

Actually, I did try to compensate some... and I screwed it up badly, so I bought some instead!

Yep, they're Alnico 5 pickups. They're pretty hot.

Probably! None of this stuff is scripted. I do like Strats and Teles. And pretty much all electric guitars. Except the real pointy metal guitars that you can't play sitting down.
