My highlights from December 2023 telemark skiing at Alta Ski Area.
Receiving 88" inches/2.2 meters of snow this was not a record setting month but it did provide for some good skiing. Highlight reel clipped together from the best of the December folder. Enjoy!

Hey, great skiing and videos. You're really smooth and relaxed looking. I'm looking for improvements every time I'm out skiing and wonder if you can pass along some advice. I know it's always dynamic to the moment, but what sort of weighting are you looking for, 50/50, or...? Also interested in your skis and what you like in a Tele ski. Thanks!

Thank you! Definitely a dynamic movement. I think 50/50 is a good start but it depends on the turn style/shape/terrain etc. I have been skiing on Freeheel Life Protector prototypes. I had the chance to build some custom skis when I worked there. I have a preference for some early rise tip/camber underfoot/flat-ish tails but that could be some good video topics!

Thanks! Any RU-vid’s on technique would be great. You look like you’re beyond thinking about it, but if you were thinking about it, what thought or intention signals are you sending your body? Something different than straight technique, more body-feel zen, if you will. :-)

Sorry but throwing in an occasional mildly forward ski and calling this Telemark is really stretching it. You're no doubt a fine skier though. Props on your downhill skills.
