crazy idea i got their seems like i was going the hard way . see i am about to start moto volgging soon i thought of make something similar as i am a computer science student i was going to this by installing buch of sensors to my bike now this idea is much better man thanks as my problem solving ability kicked in your way is better and cheap i am gonna use this one for sure i do street runs late night this is goona be fun
It can, but the workflow is more complicated and requires tweaks depending on your camera brand, current workflow... This tutorial with the standalone Telemetry Overlay software should give you an idea ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hqx4UshtuB4.html
@@TelemetryOverlay Perfecto!!
Greetings, I have Viofo cameras installed in my car. The GPS log is embedded in the video. Any chance that I can extract or integrate this data with your product? or just using the GPS Logger for Android app? btw: awesome work!
Thanks André. I'm not familiar with those cameras. If you can find some tool that converts the data in them to GPX, that would work. Otherwise un an external logger
I have an question. Does Telemetry template for adobe AE include "Turn Coordinator" and "Track on Mapbox" ? These are included in your another product "Telemetry Overlay".
this isnt working at all for me, every time I selece MG.Json file as my source I get an expression error and it doesn't display any information please help
You can get support by replying to the confirmation email. Make sure you are processing the data with the tool specific to the template you got. GoPro, GPX, etc
Can I use GPX data from Strava? I already use Strava to track my bike rides and will soon use the Insta360 One R to record the vids. I would love to use this to overlay Strava's GPX data over my vids.
Yes. It should be fine. You can test the workflow with the lite template (find it in the AE template product description). If anything fails let me know and I'll see what I can do, but it should be fine.
Hello! I would like to use it with my Insta360One X. I did a lot of try but I am not able extract/use the data. Could you help us with a tutorial, or with some tricks how sould we use it? Thx!
Hello. Are you recording the data externally? If so this tutorial should be doable for you. Or are you trying to use the GPS data recorded with the Insta GOS tracker or the app? (That's not possible yet)
do you suggest this version or the stand alone version? i usually cut the clips and do colour grading, i'm afraid of losing synchronism with the logs. Which version do you suggest? thanks
I recommend the standalone version for most use cases. You can import the color corrected video and the data separately, or export your project as a transparent video and overlay it in Premiere, AE, etc. As long as the IN points don't change, the sync shouldn't change
@@TelemetryOverlay do you plan to upgrade or make a version that supports the M1 processor? while processing a file I see the temperature almost 86 degrees :-)
How do I cut gps data? Let's say I have a GPS track from my smartwatch that is 2 hours long. But I have a 20 minute video from the middle of the ride and I want to sync that 20 minute video with GPS track?
What I would do is create a composition in After Effects with the whole length, based on the gps/mgjson file, then place the video where it belongs and cut the entire composition to the part I'm interested in, either by pre-composing it or by dropping it inside a different composition. There are also tools that will allow you to trim GPX files, but I would find that more difficult in terms of synchronization
Hello Brandon. Sorry for my late reply. Sometimes youtube fails to notify me of new comments. You can use it commercially (as in you can sell your videos made with it). You cannot resell the template, of course. You can read the conditions on the site, for example when checking out.
Just did another track with GPX TrailTracker. Exported the GPX file, ran it through your web converter. received the mgjson file and this is what I get in the after effects template I bought from you for GPS Path. No path, a white dot and "cords" where the gps coordinates should be.
Hola.
I try to edit through my Android phone ,but I couldn't do it , Adobe after effect is different and when the gpx file is converted to mgjson , file cannot be share in Adobe after effect
I would need more information in order to assist. If you have purchased one of the products you can send an email. For most users, I would recommend the standalone Telemetry Overlay software rather than the AE templates
For Filmora and other software you would have to use the standalone Telemetry Overlay app: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1a84BawKsvQ.html
I used this website to extract my GPS GoPro data because this shit of GoPro Quick don't read them. I made a GPX file but when I try to convert GPX to mgJSON I have this error : "Problem converting file" It's normal ? What I can do ? Thanks in advance
Two things to consider. The accuracy of the data depends on the recording device (phone, tracker, watch...) and app, not the template. And in this particular case I know the bike speedometer to be unreliable (always too high). It's my bike. The good speed is the one in the template.
@@gsrajah9410 Does it record the rpm? Do you know to which format? If you can export the data to CSV the next version of Telemetry Overlay (not this video, check out the others in the channel about Telemetry Overlay), might allow you to create the rpm gauge
@@TelemetryOverlay its just a dashcam recorder but i dont think it records rpm. also i dont think i have any option to export to csv.. its just basic dashcam recorder
What export settings are you using? I recommend using the Media Encoder and doing an H264 export with the "Match Source - High Bitrate" preset, or "Match Source - Adaptive High Bitrate" (usually larger files)
@@karemanishkumar Sorry, you're right. They have deleted the previous one. Here's another one. I have not had a chance to test it, but it looks fine. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.basicairdata.graziano.gpslogger
Not with this workflow. Just the acceleration gauge, which is deduced from the GPS position, so just a very very rough estimation. What camera or data tracker do you use?
@@TelemetryOverlay I'm looking to record the g force with my phone and transfer it to the video but I dont found any info... I'm using a cheap action camera
