I think the fact that they really pushed themselves to make Teletubbyland a real place is something that made the show so enthralling and captivated kids because it made the world believable.
I always thought the Teletubbies were child size, really shocked to see that they are huge. The dome house roof is quite high, but the actors in their giants Teletubbies suits can run down it, go up & down the hills, jumping, dancing, rolling, running like it's nothing.
the teletubbies dome was destroyed because before they built it, they had to sign a contract where they do the tv show and destroy the dome after the show was over. Now after the show ended and they took everything with them, the fans wanted to see the magic that happend on that field. So tourist began askin the farmer( the owner of the land) permission if they could visit teletubby land and pay respects. He said yes, but soon enough he started getting annoyed and started telling people that they are not allowed at a certain time. Now the tourists weren't happy about this and they started to trespass to get to where the dome originally was. The farmer caught on to this and he was MAD. Soon enough he was sick and tired of people trespassing on his field, he got water, dug where the dome was and filled it with water, turning it into a pond. Now if you wanna go visit it, you have to get permission from the landowner( i think hes dead because its been almost 15 years since the teletubbies show) if i could have anything in the whole world, i would choose to have all the teletubbies costumes. ay thats a better option because i cant have the appility to bring people back from the dead and make people live forever. All jokes aside, for everyone that was in the making of teletubbies thank you. I will miss that dome. Tinky winky, dipsy, laa laa, and po, i will miss all of you, and some people might not think that show is inspiring, but dont let anyone tell you that you cant do something that you wanna do. R.I.P teletubbies- you will never be forgotten :,)
Not sure why everyone thinks it’s underwater. The low area was taraformed from a flat area, and the dome was built. The contract made a requirement that it was taken down immediately after filming. People still came to visit the lot without the dome (maybe there is footage somewhere of unflooded lot?) and the land owner got sick of this and created an artificial pond.
Right! There’s this one page (I forgot the name of it), The Teletubbies show’s production was between 1996-1999/2000, where it aired its first episode in 1997 (a year before other parts of the world got the show), and aired its last episode four years later in 2001. The Tubbytronic Superdome was only there for one and a half year before being demolished and the whole was restored to original state; the original spot where the Tubbytronic Superdome was once was used for filming the show, is now a lake of water with fishes now roaming. Also, people keep mistaking the years 2005, 2007, and 2018, to where the fictional dome was gotten rid of, when it was actually in 2002, even Google Maps says 2005, because apparently, some people are poor at math skills and numbers.
Amazing how small the dome actually is on the inside. BTW do you have any photos of how the Noo noo was made? I swear NO ONE has ever asked how the Noo noo was made or controlled
It is revolting that none of these landmarks still exist. The farmers are absolute tyrants. I don’t care if it is their land they should show a damn side more compassion.
@@1sonyzzI belive the currant owners were the same owners when filming tool place. I read somewhere they received 1k per month of filming. Personally I'd love to have freaking Tubby dome on my property ! But it's their choice and I can see why they would not want people trespassing on their property
The fact two legendary locations were forgotten and turned to nothing is very disrespectful to the franchise’s. It was the same with Drayton Manor for a long time the way they treated the Thomas Trains until fans complained.
The reason for the house, the windmill and the teletubbyland was taken down because the owner of the area wasn't happy about people tresspassing on the area so people could visit and take pictures.
The owner of the land wack for demolishing such a beautiful piece of a show’s history… if they didn’t like people trespassing they could’ve made a tall wall or a tall fence with barbwires😕
I'm very disappointed to Rosemary Harding for what she did to the sets of Tots TV and Teletubbies and the fans are upset and angry at her and we should give revenge on her what she did to the lands. After Rosemary finally got deserves, I think it was time to rebuild the sets for petitions and donating after the all the campaigns it declared the petitions so it begins to restore and rebuild the lands. So this is for a House Tours and Museums as well. I've might predict the future I've guess... So this is my freedom speech. Is this a good idea or a bad idea? James, if you see this please reply me. Thank you.
I agree I would of Turned the Tots cottage into a summer cafe with park benches outside. Also the same with tubby dome. But It was in the contract the tubby dome will be dismantled after production ended. As for Tots cottage. It was handed over to the farm to do what they like. I don't recommend anyone seeing the cottage now as it's very dangerous. All it will take for a brick to fall on someone's head.
@@JamesPropmaker Hmm? You rather want to put a cafe on Tots and Teletubbies? I dunno I think this a good idea for that. I guess put the cafe from next door to the sets I dunno I'm wrong or right?
@@JamesPropmaker Apparently, what if the fans and tourists going to see this new look? As turns the cottage into a cafe I’ve should called it “Tots Cafe”
Because the landowner was tired of people jumping over fences because it was private property and wasn’t supposed to be a tourist attraction so she decided to flood it so nobody can find it
Back then they actually made thinks for real instead of awful animation! I know the original had some animation but obviously some bits had to be. Kids programs are awful nowadays.
Me and my friend were bored on facetime so she told me where the Teletubbies were filmed and I learned that there are skeletons and dead bodies in a trench next to it from the war and i am officially scarred and how did she know that?? I'll never know...
Its so weird how both teletubby land and tots tv wer all in the same location, but now teletubby land is under water and the tots cottage is rotting away.
