@@Stonefeather53 your theory might be wrong, as in, why did Albania with Ronela fail to qualify last year? Anyways, it's a rhetorical question, no need to answer. This year Albania was somewhere towards the end on my scoreboard pre-contest, but after seeing her live performance in Semifinal 2 (from the Arena), she went in my top 5 overall. I consider Albina had the best female vocals of the entire contest...she was absolutely amazing! P.S.: I am not Albanian and I have other non-Albanian friends who are sharing my opinion and they voted for Albania this year 👏🏼
It’s because of the system. In the system up to 2018, they announced the country that got the highest score of televotes at the very end, whereas now you don’t really understand who got the most points from the televotes.
Not going to lie. Albania was on the bottom of my scoreboard before the live performances 😱I'm so proud of them! Definitely deserved top 10. Beautiful song and performance.
This year was the best I've ever experienced. Most of the songs were great, whereas I've only liked a few each year, before. The relationships BTS have felt more united and special. The presenters did an amazing job, also. It really surprised me. Also, Käärijä is seriously special... That boy was the heart of it, this year. Never heard such a reaction before.
Totally agree, Käärijä is so so so special, I've never been so invested in Eurovision before ( and I'm old!!)... until I went through all Eurovision entriea and saw Käärijä , and suddenly I started acting crazy like a hormonal teen seeing Harry Style
@Nicolas In Fire, I can see why, but this year, there wasn't a single song i disliked. In 2021, there were few songs I didn't like like Austria and Czechia
Albania being on here makes me feel hope for them one day to win the contest.. this year their performance was amazing… everything from the staging, clothing, effects, vocals, Albania had it all this year
@@CNTGYT Yes, there's always going to be that handicap unfortunately with non-English songs being a bit disadvantaged. Although some non-English songs do seem to manage to capture a lot of people, like the Finnish song this year or Italy's Maneskin a couple of years back.
You know, if not for the televote putting Loreen at 2nd, we would heading to Helsinki next year. I loved Queen of Kings, but there's something missing and restrained with Alessandra's performance that made me understand why the juries put her low. Her MGP performance was much more dynamic. Although the whole Scandinavia ranking higher than Ukraine was iconic. Europe is recovering, I guess. Thank God for Noa, or Bejba would be higher. Someone like her who got her place thanks to corruption and nepotism should not be rewarded heavily. Thanks also to the juries for putting her 24th. Italy being 6th shows that they still got it. I invite you guys to listen to the full version. It's more emotional and magical. I'm happy it ranked higher than TVP and Croatia. Shows that people see quality. Croatia shows that Europe still hates Putin. This and Ukraine might have fought each other in the televote. Moldova at 9th was a surprise. I thought Europe will get tired of it but I guess they really love this usual ethnic bop Albania 10th was not only of Kosovo and the running order but people might have just like the prospect of Albina performing with her family. A first for Albania since 2015!
SO HAPPY FOR CROATIA, ALBANIA, NORWAY, ISRAEL AND FINLAND BEING IN THE TOP 10 OF THE TELEVOTE! PEOPLE HAD A GOOD TASTE THIS YEAR! LOVE FROM CROATIA! 🇭🇷♥️🇦🇱🇧🇻🇮🇱🇫🇮
@@escahmet7487why is everyone of these ESC RU-vidrs (not just you, but almost everyone doing Tops) against Croatia? It's an antiwar song. Yes, they deserved it as well as Finland, Norway and Israel. If not even more.
@@ESCedi That’s true actually. I kind of thought that Loreen will 300+ score on televotes. Given that she is an established name and has solid fan base and her song is also good. So yeah.. expected that will be atleast top 3.
Funny how Loreen haters are ignoring that she was 2ND WITH TELEVOTE. So no, Finland could have easily won if Sweden hadn't got much support, but they did and Sweden deservedly won! It's been 3 weeks, get over it
Käärijä puts the CHA in champion. Hands down the clear winner. How he won the hearts of many and united people from all over the world with his song, performance and personality is mind-blowing. I will forever cherish the once in a lifetime chance to experience the electric atmosphere. Käärijä truly is the one and only real winner.
I'm hoping EBU has realised that the televote winner deserve more recognition. People need to feel that their votes count, something is wrong when the second most voted song ever did not win the competition. Give people a real power! ESC is what it is nowadys because of us voting not the juries.
But their votes do count, he wouldn’t have got second place if everyone didn’t vote. Second place is amazing and he should be proud of this, as well as all of his fans
And that would make the actual winner what? There is only one winner, the one that actually wins! Being televote winner means nothing, nor does jury winner mean anything. EBU won't change established rules only because Käärija fans still can't accept defeat
@@Denis-89 FYI EBU has changed the rules many times over the years, based on different circumstances. It's not about Käärijä fans, this has been discussed for a few editions already and the CHANGE of Semifinal scoring to only juries prove that EBU is exploring a different approach to reinforce the trust in their branding.
@@CG-hq3ek yes but if they change it will be because broadcasters request it. And if you remember the time with only televote you will see why its not a good idea
I thought she was either mumbling or straight-up screaming. It's like she can't sing at a higher volume so she just screams, it doesn’t feel controlled. Also I don't know if it was because of that or bad dictation but I couldn't understand a single word.
Best part of this video will be Alessandra coming 3rd in the televote ❤❤❤ after having a very undeserved and unfair position of the juries!! 😢💔 Love you forever queen and pretty devil♥️♥️👑😈
La Zarra deserved to be in top5. Still wondering what happened there! She is top5 quality for sure!!! But thanks to Eurovision she gained so many fans. Just listen to her album, it's something else. I really like her voice, her style, everything. So so sorry for her, but that's Eurovision.
When jury's conservative taste clashes with progressive televoter's taste, it becomes a battle between their 2 favourites, and everyone else gets robbed. Solution: let's go back juries only (I will not watch ESC anymore in this case, as I didn't before) or televote only. Or if juries are that much needed, then only with a power of 25-30%, not more.
La Zarra was robbed indeed, but I think her worst enemy this time was her staging (and thus, the French delegation). The huge dress and the podium were fun ideas but she had zero room to move, and had to be held by some kind of harness to be sure she wouldn't fall. Said harness kinda blocked her breathing, so she was uncomfortable during the whole performance. Plus, the jury decides on semi-final footage, and the version of Évidemment from the semis was pretty subpar - she barely finished recovering from her throat issue - Had she got a better staging and were contestants judged properly on their final performance, she would've finished in the left hand side of the ranking. Maybe not Top 5,but easily 7th I'd say
@@Eva-mp7xg the Finnish selection program is 25% jury, 75% televote. And it works really fine for them. I think 30% jury and 70% televotes, and having the jury base their vote on the final performance instead of the semis would fix a lot of things.
@@Eva-mp7xg I'd be surprised if they do, they seem pretty set in their ways. But the way the live audience kept interrupting the hosts by chanting KÄÄRIJÄ and CHA CHA CHA during the final really helped to show how disconnected the jury and the people are, so who knows what'll happen next
@@andyclark8991 You cannot vote against a song. Only for a song. And the one that gets most televotes is the favourite of most people. So you are - again wrong.
Sar If you don’t vote for a song. (That means you’re against it) right, right. Because a baby understands that. Vest vest amounts of people didn’t vote for this song. In the televote, over 70% of the public/people didn’t vote for this poo/poor song.
Or they could simply go back to announce the televoting points in reverse order from the one with the least points to the winner. That would also make more sense for the viewers at home as the numbers given won't be totally random but follow a logical progression. But they prefer to announce them according to the jury rank so that the camera can focus on the delegation beforehand and show their reactions as they wait for their points to be announced
@@vangelisvt i think that system was actually worse, because if you look at sergey lazarev's reaction compared to keiino or kaarija, sergey doesn't get to be excited with his score because he's just disappointed that he didn't win.
@@northcub But that's the whole point. Not whether you are first but whether you have enough to win. However at least it is acknowledged that you are first in the televote.
@Alicia Samali People don't keep pen and paper to know what the actual ranking is. To the average person all these numbers look pretty random they way they are presented.
Lol. Trying to restore your credibility by listing the televote winners? Sorry but nope, that's not going to cut it. The EBU and Martin Österdahl have lost all credibility this year. You will never get my views, ad-money or voting money for Eurovision EVER again. And I know I'm not alone.
100% this. It's the last time I'm putting money into this scam, I'd be more likely to get value for my money if I contacted that Nigerian prince who emailed me 🤣
@@christiaanvaneekelen5712true, but normally, they don't punish bad vocals, if it was up to them, Roxen would have qualified for the final and they're the reason why Australia got through in 2017.
Shout out to the guy who screamed "ALESSANDRA TI AMOOOOO" (Alessandra I love yoooooou) so loud the microphone picked him up EDIT: manifesting either Espoo 2024 or Tirana 2024 let's goooooo
It's so interesting fact that Albania🇦🇱 who were 9th in only Televote semi had more televotes in finals than semi 2 winner Australia🇦🇺 and runner up Austria🇦🇹, who flopped in televotes in finals. these two didn't deserve so low televote in finals. And I'm so proud of my Croatia🇭🇷. I knew that we can be AT LEAST top 10 in final televote. It's a shame that we didn't have a little bit more jury points, especially from Slovenian🇸🇮 and Ukrainian🇺🇦 jury who gave us 0 points. With like 4 points from each of them we would be top 10 in the end, above Cyprus🇨🇾, Lithuania🇱🇹 and Czechia🇨🇿. And thanks to Portuguese🇵🇹 jury with 3 points, you have good taste.😃😃😃. But never mind, is the best Croatian televote result ever. I hope that we can send an impactful song next year and get another good result. See you next year and good luck to all. Big ŠČ! from Croatia 🇭🇷🇭🇷.
Austria got screwed by running order (they were first). Australia on the other hand had heavier song which did well with semis audience but final audience is more casual.
@@julianhaberka157 Yes, it's a really unfair that they put Austria🇦🇹 as opener and they were 2nd in the semi. In my opinion they could put them around 10th slot, for example between Sweden🇸🇪 and Finland🇫🇮. And as opener they should put Portugal🇵🇹. It would be ideal as opener. Fun song but lower in the odds then Austria🇦🇹. And 🇵🇹 ended 9th in semi. Not 2nd as 🇦🇹
Even Estonia, the 10th place in the televoting only semi, had more points than Austria and Australia. Yes, it was mainly due to a bad running order and a good running order in the semi. And because only 10 songs are getting points, Austria, Australia and Croatia (eve Germany) might have finished 11th to 16th in some countries, plus the fact that it was a televoting heavy Grand Final and the fact that people in the semi-final vote for who they wanna see advance and and in the final, they rather wanna vote for acts who can win.
Bridges didn’t really stand a chance given Cha Cha Cha was right after it. Eaea was right after Sweden so kind of the same issue there (and also it’s a more refined taste compared to Estonia and Austria) Who the Hell is Edgar was just robbed.
@@JakobTennisMB The biggest gap in ESC history between jury's 1st and 2nd. 340 - 177 points, or in other words, jury's 1st getting 192% of the points of their 2nd.
@@bojandam963they could at least show the scoreboard with only televotes. Now, only the jury scores and the overall results are being remembered by the public. The way they handled it before was better, because then, they actually announced all the positions of the televote, eg 3rd place Norway, 4th place Ukraine, 8th place for Poland. When Poland was announced, they didn't know, they were Top 10, it was rather uncertain, they could have been 11th or 12th as well. And did Alessandra know, she even came in 3rd? Probably not. And the public didn't know either, maybe they would have guessed. And other good positions like Poland, Moldova and Albania just get swapped under the rug, the televote numbers dissappear from the screen, etc so I bet, most Albanians didn't even get, they entered the Top 10, neither did I. So, at least, they should show a scoreboard with countries being ranked by their amount of televotes or at least, present them from first place to winner in the televote.
Can you upload the Rest Of the World Top 10 at some point? Some of the countries that could vote in that are geo-blocked and I'm sure they would like to be able to re-watch what they voted for the most.
So much better than the jury results. Televoters are able to appreciate art, meaningful lyrics and songs outside of the pop genre and value anything less mainstream.
Finland is not Scandinavia, that’s Norway, Sweden and Denmark 😊 But they are all in the group Nordic countries, and its very cool that 3 of the nordic slayed this year 🎉
