Very nice. I never had any luck getting any of my VCOs to play harmoniously with the TelHarmonic the way this demo did with the DPO. Getting the TelHarmonic in tune with the rest of my setup seems to be the problem unless I want to do drones which isn't what I want to do.
This video is all bleeps and bloops.... Wait...this video is too melodic.... Wait...it's the same sequence the whole demo... Wait...the sequence changes too much. I can hear the timbre. Wait...the faceplates confuse me. Wait...where's my wallet? 😀 Nice patch at the end. Some great variations!
It would be cool if each of the three notes had an independent audio out. Maybe volts/octave out for each note. Not sure if an expander would be possible, but those are my suggestions.
What's the thing going left to right in the middle of the modular box? I need to call you guys before ordering anything, getting the a-100 box unless your box is better
I emailed you guys on the technical email and sales about what all I need, thanks for the tips still trying to get my head around it, I do have the sub 37 moog not sure what I can do with that, it has cv outputs want to order from you guys 817 773 2508 hit me up @makenoise
i must say it seems a bit weird to quantise to 12ed2, like the rest of the system has this kind of alien, analogue feel, and the sequencers are all continuous pitch. What about scrolling up the harmonic series perhaps? Like 3:4:5,4:5:6,6:7:8, so on. Or scrolling up triads with the middle note being the nearest prime ratio to 5:4 between the other notes? I love the idea of this module but it seems kinda limiting to me. Great video format too.
+Chartre Khan We like to make as many approaches available as possible. There is also 12-tone quantized output on René, for example. With the tELHARMONIC, the TONIC control is continuous, and the Centroid control goes through the harmonic series with the option to lock individual partials at full amplitude. The Interval control can detune to many non-tempered intervals as well (it is continuous except for places where it locks in to intervals). The tELHARMONIC thus encapsulates several theories of tuning into a single interface. This video focuses on the tempered Degree control. Be sure to check out our other videos on this module, especially the one on the Harmonic (H) Output.
