Your dad's reaction was very valid. He left this state to give you a better life and now you're coming to CA for that same reason. To give your kiddos priceless memories and experiences. Us parents will do anything for our kids. His reaction shows just how much he loves you.

Your dads reaction was heart wrenching however that is such a typical dad reaction. Afraid, sad, mad all the feels but at the end of the day that’s your daddy and he will always support you I’m sure! I know what you mean when you say you want to experience more. As a kid growing up on an island you think this is the only place to exist than you grow up and realize there is so much more out there for you! Enjoy the ride! The good the bad all of it. I’m so glad that you guys stuck with your decision despite some of your families reservations. It makes it so much harder when it feels like you’re letting people down. I left my home state after 22 years and it was so hard but so worth it 😊

Back in 2018 I decided to move to California BUT I didn't have everything you have. I was doing it alone! I found a job (under-paid nanny) but I didn't know where I was going to live. I packed up my car as much as I could, I probably only had $1,000 to be honest. My parents didn't want me to go but they didn't tell me not to. They supported me and one thing my dad mentioned was that it'll be good for me and home will always be there (Chicago), I could always go back.

Was hilarious with JesssFam's reaction lol. I teared up seeing the dad's reaction, but end of the day, he loves his family and supports and that is all that matters. Can't wait to see the journey. Will have hard days and good days but make the best of it!
