Jane is actually mollys sister that is pregnant in season 1 episode 4 this episode takes place roughly 3 months into the apocalypse keep in mind all of the video tapes are from flashbacks so by the time we meet jane over 2 years have past maybe she had a kid die similar to christas in that span and thats why she unalives herself in season 3 when she is pregnant and is so distant torwards everyone and dosent like being around aj as a baby but likes clem
