In next week's video Swifty Travels (travel vlogger) stays in Telluride Colorado! We travel up the telluride gondola to mountain village and take a bike ride around town, exploring the Telluride town park and campground with tips on where to find free parking. This is the most pet friendly town we’ve ever visited and we took our dog along with us up on the gondola!

Don’t be at all discouraged by the long Gondola lines shown in this video. That’s something that only happens very rarely, usually when one of the big music festival ends. We have been going to Telluride for 25 years, and never had to wait more than maybe 10 minutes.

@@SwiftyTravels True. However, inclement weather like high winds, summer or winter, can completely stop things in a hurry with no warning. One Christmas holiday evening, we were taking the gondola from Telluride back to our Mountain Village condo when a for-real blizzard decided to roll in. We and MANY others were stranded. There is no Uber or taxi. Thank goodness the free Galloping Goose bus came to the rescue and drove many busloads of peeps up Hwy 165 to MV, no charge. Both the Goose and the Gondola are paid for by HOA dues from us condo owners and other sources, and are entirely free, but those operational costs are built into your room rates. There are 1,001 things to do in Telluride, so please visit!

FYI, Bridal Veil Falls typically doesn't flow much at all July and August most years, often next to nothing. It all depends on the previous winter's accumulated snowfall. If it is flowing strong, my advice is to get there very early to avoid the crowds. There are not many places to park, and if you want to hike up to the falls, or just spend some time out of your car, it can get very crowded pretty much all day if the falls are flowing strong. Go early.

I will have to visit Telluride and ride the gondola. I think that is very cool that it is free, even better and more of an attraction. The view from up high looked great. I can't believe in just a nights time the smoked moved in that thick. It was a terrible fire year in the southwest. I also want to visit bridal veil falls. Keep doing what you are doing. No changes from my perspective.

During the summer months, there is a very good street market every Friday until about 3-4:00 PM that starts right at the Gonola station in the town of Telluride.. We often grab some stuff for a Friday dinner at the market. Also, Mountain Village has their own markets weekly, so check them out. Insider's tip: Brown Dog Pizza in Telluride on the main drag is probably some of the best pizza you have ever had.

Very nice video! Once I get an electric car, I plan to take a road trip from PA to the west coast, possibly stopping in CO after seeing videos like yours. I believe there is a Telluride airport but very small and exclusive mostly private planes. The other airport that is closest is Montrose Colorado. Fort Lewis college is in Durango just a couple hours away
