Yiannis and Kostas in Greece playing the Old Time Irish tune and Bluegrass standard today "Temperance Reel". Recorded at PlusOne recording studio,Thessaloniki,Greece Guitar:1944-'45 Banner Gibson J-45,maple.Northfield F mandolin.
BOTH of you guys are Fantastic! And, that Gibson sound! Just something about it that is so special. I know Martins are louder but the sound is what it is all about. Both great American guitars. Thank you for such fine playing.
Lol......goobers.......how about some real shredders like John Dwyer, Night Beats, Cobraman, John Fahey (would expect you to know this legend at least), Ariel Pink's guitarist, Tibeway Army, Spacemen 3, Jack Rose, and the list goes on forever.........
That J45 sounds amazing! Everything you would want in a dreadnought, and very 3D. What kind of mic is that? And what is the distance? Looks pretty far.
dnauhei thanks. It's a special guitar for sure. The mic is a Rode Nt1 I think, one large diagram . Yes,the placement was far in order to avoiding any unpleasant boomy sound.
