Excellent presentation. Very simply and very clearly explained. I have searched numerous "technical" articles and none of them say HOW the body regulates temperature. Thank you, well done ! ! !

Helpful advice. When you’re working on production use a de-esser to minimize your sibilance. You have a lovely voice but the video is quite difficult to listen to because of the hissing.

Is the use of the term Endotherm in place of warm blood correct or should the term homeothermic be more accurate. Homeotherm, meaning requires a narrow range of body temperature to survive like warm blood creature . Endotherm refers to organism that generate internal body heat which is true for warm blood creature.

Ye causes blood vessels in the heart to open and pump required amount of blood to the organs... To reduce the risk of stroke or heart attack... Or we can say tht it depends on the type of surgery.. not every surgery needs this inj.

I want to ask besides sweating how do our body reaction to an increasing in body temperature during exercise?
@fuseschool
@fuseschool 3 года назад
When you overheat your blood flows to the surface of your skin (and you look red!) - the evaporation of sweat then provides the cooling. If the air humidity is high, sweat cannot evaporate and the drops of sweat form uselessly on the surface of your skin. Then the only way to get cool is to have a cold shower. The other method is to pant. Dogs use this method of cooling (which only works if the air temperature is lower than their body temperature!) because it is difficult for sweat to evaporate under their thick coat of fur.

Are you saying that we can control our body temp?
@nazihaibrahim6537
@nazihaibrahim6537 5 лет назад
There is a region in our brain called hypothalamus it is part of the thermoregulatory system and it contains receptors that detect temperature changes if it gets too hot ur blood vessels dilate and you start sweating to lose heat and if it gets too cold you start shivering the muscle contractions generate heat and even goosebumps and the hair that stands up when ur feeling cold reduces heat less bc u need this heat as it is very cold so yea that’s why we are warm blooded we control our own body temperature.

Is humans body in thermal equilibrium with environment?
@adrianaadnan7704
@adrianaadnan7704 4 года назад
Sort of. Yes n no. Yes it adapts. No .because it has limits to its adaptation. Too cold= frostbite. Too hot = u Will be cooked. So theres limitations to its adaptation. But someone's pulling the strings to maintain the tempreture of space time n human body n planets for sure. Its too precise.

Okay I’m confused. If vasoconstriction happens when we are cold then why is our cheeks red when we are cold?
@jamiefrench8934
@jamiefrench8934 3 года назад
I am guessing that it’s because blood is not (or to a lesser extent) restricted to the head to maintain a certain level of brain activity potential. Hence we suffer a large percentage of heat loss from the head.
