Looked at many videos on the subject and this is by far the clearest. Coming from Ableton Live which does this in a straightforward manner I was baffled by the complexity of this simple task in Cubase (until now that is) - cheers.
Is there a way of calculating precisely the average tempo of an audio track? Without stretching the audio, and other tricks, just pure average tempo calculation?
hey! i love your work can you please do a reese beat of travis scott “what to do” song part, where it says woke up on the 17… i have been trying to do the thunder/ storm effect but i just can’t get it if you could help me i would be really greatful please and thank you🙏🙏
I use EnergyXT . I split one measure [ 4 beat ] copy and paste into track 2 . I place beat 1 " match" timeline bar edge . And drag 120 tempo increase 130 or decrease 100 [ sample will strengthen or shorten].....until beat 4 "match" timeline bar edge after ...Now , number of tempo at this moment .....is the tempo of song ! 95% ....I delete track 2 , glue track 1 [ song ] ....and I both adjust number of tempo and drag song .....left, right ...a little [ to match all beat 1 ....with timeline bar ]. I get 100% number of tempo of the song !
Hi jay, Thanks for the info- Really helpful - very clear. I use Cubase pro 11.. Though I have one Big Question. I have a live recording and I love the somewhat fluctuating Drums. How do I put it on the grid without affecting the original. Extra percussion needs to be recorded and of course edited afterwards. Thanks in advance
In the very first version of Cubase Audio I used on the Atari Falcon you used to be able to drag the waveform to fit the timeline . Can you no longer do this in Cubase ?
Yes, you can still time stretch just by changing the cursor tool to time stretch (click and hold down the mouse button on the selection tool icon in the tool bar) then you can drag something to fit
Logic can detect song tempo in one click and takes less than 10 seconds. I've been paying yearly to maintin my cubase updated since Cubase SX 3 and we still don't have automatic song tempo detection. WTF
@@dimafg1 But I know about the automatic way in cubase, and doesn't work perfectly everytime. Also it won't detect it correctly if there is a silent gap at the beginning
