The lux for side sleepers is a total dream...I have torn rotator cuffs, am a side sleeper, and a firm/med mattresses inevitably wake me up many times per night...The lux soft is literally a dream come true in comparison...My shoulders have NEVER bothered me once since I bought...Yes its exp as hell, but if youre a sensitive side sleeper like me, its heaven. Edit: Im a big dude, 250 lbs, so might affect analysis, but been a dream for me. Edit 2: Sex on a lux soft, is a bit impaired if youre vigorous or enjoy "fluidity." But im old, id rather sleep well ;-)

I just bought a Tempur-Pedic Pro-Adapt Medium Full Foam, non-hybrid from Mattress Firm. The feel in the store is different from your new mattress. The store floor model is broken in and you’ll find it more comfortable. The first night I slept on mine I was cursing. It was rock hard. I started reading about how these mattresses break-in. So I decided to speed up the process. I put the mattress on the living room carpet, gave my 17 and 18 year old nephews some nice clean fluffy white socks to wear, and had them walk on the mattress for about 15 mins. Cut to the chase, that’s all it took and the mattress now feels as comfortable as the store model. Very happy now.

I am between the same you have or the hybrid. Did you try the hybrid? I weigh 110 lb and l have neck and shoulder problems…. Any recommendations? Sorry for the details , but l have been trying so many matress 😣

Really well done and exceptionally informative video!! Thank you SOOO very much!!! There is one called the Cloud Elite that i don't think you talked about here? If you see this my main question is would this be any less heat-trapping? I'm all but bedridden and have a connective tissue disorder that brings much joint pain and pressure relief is of utmost importance now. Starting to get pressure sores. I cant even crochet in bed anymore.

So from your video I'm thinking the best one for me may be the Luxe adapt? I start out on my back but then after about a half hour my lower back starts to hurt so I end up sleeping on my side. Then my hip starts to hurt so then I turn over to the other side. I understand that they run for a twin XL about $5000. So maybe there's a sale coming up?

I have the Tempur-Pedic cloud in medium and it sags! My partner is 280 and I’m 160. I get back pain from the softness. Do you recommend a certain model / firmness for me? I’m looking at the pro adapt but I’m afraid the medium will get super soft like the cloud did and I’d sink in.

Great breakdown! I really don’t see much of a difference between the pro adapt and the luxe adapt. Only difference I see is the the pro adapt has APR where the luxe adapt has APR + and there is one inch difference in height. From my understanding the Apr and APR + there’s not much of a difference. Can someone please let me know if I am wrong? I have tried both at a store and can’t tell the difference. Thanks

I got this mattress a month ago and I got vertigo the first two nights I slept on it which no one could explain why that would happen. I woke up with vertigo and I've never had it in my life but it went away and I slept longer than I slept in years. But the last week I've been having worse back pain low back pain I've ever had in my life. Can it be from this bed? I don't understand because I've been sleeping on a sagging couch for 3 years and I've never had back issues. So why now with the almost $4,000 mattress am I having low back pain all the time? And what would be a better option? It's not fair that we only get to exchange it one time I went with a firm version because I away so much and I was worried about sagging. I'm not sure if this bed might be bad for my or what give me suggestions I way. 260 lb

In my country I only see models like "Tempur Pro SmartCool" or "Pro Plus SmartCool", and "Tempur Pro CoolQuilt". Are these versions of the Adapt models? There seem to be so many models and I can't find any specific reviews of these specific ones.

I'm really looking hard at the Pro Adapt Medium for me and the misses, as we are both combo sleepers, 70/30 side sleepers, and the extra $1000 to $1400 over other quality all foam mattress did put me off, but a fifteen year investment is, in the end, worth it.. But I've spent a little time on the firm model, and I can say I felt no measurable sinkage, now I'm only 165 lbs..

Good summary review. We just bought a Tempur Adapt all-foam and after a month, I'm ready to return it. The even support is good, and pressure relief, as a side sleeper, is good. But, it is very hot compared to our previous latex mattress, and the sinking, sticky feeling is really annoying; it means that it takes more 'awake' time to turn over at night, because it takes more effort. Motion transfer also greater and more abrupt than I would have expected. But my main disappointment is that the softening of the sleeping location, compared to the area around me, means that I have an effective pit where I sleep. It is not really sag, but a differential in firmness or resistance of the mattress. So, the effect is just like conventional sag. 6', 205 lbs. Hope to go to a Purple Premier Hybrid 3.

The sinking feeling you are describing is normal for a Tempur. If you are feeling rested I would suggest try to get used to it. 1 month is barely enough time to get used to it, if this is your first Tempur. If you absolutely hate the feeling it's not for you, but I'd try it as long as your trial period allows.

I'm interesting in buying another Tempur-Pedic mattress. I've had the classic firm since 2005. I'm a petite 98 pound side sleeper, with back and shoulder issues. I'm going to look at the pro adapt and luxe adapt. Which one out of the two do you recommend, also soft or firm. I noticed the luxe adapt only comes in soft or firm, no medium.

Luxe Adapt Soft is softest. Proadapt Medium would feel like a brick I think at your size. Proadapt Medium Hybrid is softer than the Medium as it has the same Tempur ES material as the Proadapt Soft. But, at your weight, if you live alone even the Proadapt Medium Hybrid would take a while to break in. The proadapt soft is a little softer than the proadapt medium hybrid and doesn’t have the springs. It gets harder when the AC is on. I heard the Luxe Adapt Soft is the softest and most luxurious and I am switching from the proadapt medium hybrid to that one. Hope this helps.

I was just randomly looking at Milly mattresses and they are quite expensive for what you are getting. A regular TempurPedic Pro Adapt bed seems pretty good for the price despite being $2100 or so for a Queen Mattress. Do they ever have any discounts? I keep seeing these ads for 30% off but that is just for their cheaper Cloud model.

I'm a 130lbs stomach sleeper, and I sleep like a baby on a ProAdapt Medium-Hybrid. YMMV of course, but I certainly wouldn't say these beds aren't fit for stomach sleepers.

The Tempur Pedic pro adapt firm & Medium are absolutely horrible. May aswell sleep on a roll up foam on the floor. The furniture store only let me swap once for additional $$$, and the second mattress is also unbearable….Im going through lender to get refund at this point. Making hips and arms numb. Avoid them at all costs if you weigh more than a sack of rice. Try a lower cost bed you can return, or at minimum start with medium density. That way you know if you go softer or harder. For now we screwed with an expensive mattress that’s causing pain.

I'm really eying the breeze lineup. I've seen reviews saying the "breeze technology" is a gimmick and doesn't really make a difference.. have you personally tried it? It's a massive price difference as I need a split king. With that said I'm torn between the tempure adapt/breeze or a purple 3 or 4. I have shoulder issues and my wife and I often feel restless and get lower back pain. Please help. Ty. I love your videos!!

@@dancassidy7471 Yes, give it some time for your body to adjust & definitely by 2 months you should not be having this painful experience, if you continue to have pain due to the mattress exchange it for a different brand, possibly a hybrid mattress if the Tempurpedic doesn't work out. I love that Breeze firm model though. 4 weeks it should be broken in.

I have the Proadapt Medium Hybrid. For 3 months. As I live alone it took a while to soften, though I hear the Proadapt Medium is harder for sure. As the hybrid as the same Tempur ES material as the Proadapt soft. It just also has coils so it has some bounce. Hope this helps.

I don't have any idea why she is smiling. I bought one of the most expensive mattress from Tempur and it failed within four years of purchase. Tried to get a warranty claim and was denied. Two years been fighting with them and have come to the conclusion that their product sucks as much as their warranty. Do your homework before you buy one. Read people's complaints. The warranty on this product is a joke as well as the product. Go Purple.
