i spent 2 whole days triyng to figure it out how to do this without items, and afters hours and various good temtems lost i gave up. or im too dumb or its impossible
@@felipesoares3828 Yeah, without the breeding gear it's pretty close to impossible to get a perfect Tem.... Unless you get flawless 40% luck in every single egg, which is pushing your luck...
As someone who breeds perfect shiny ev pokemon, I applaud you for this guide, this makes all the information that was overwhelming for newcomers really simple to follow.
Sad to see another video so much confusing, that mixes all the topics but has lots more views, fortunately I gave this one a chance too, so much clear, thanks.
One more thing, if the last 2 tems u breed are the same gender, u can go to temtem discord looking for trade. U might find someone like u, so u dont hav to start over that cost 6k more pansun and still hav to take the risk.
Excellent job explaining how breeding works in this game. Unfortuantely, I found this guide a little too late, as I used the special Pewki to experiment with an Oceara that I had found to test how breeding works. I'm still waiting on the egg to hatch to see the result, but it'll come with 50 in HP, Stamina, and Defense. Everything else will come with 40+, except for attack (which doesn't matter to me all that much for an Oceara.) I don't think I'll be able to get all 50's...but I've got a shot at getting 50's for the important stats that Oceara needs, imo.
This is PERFECT thanks a tooon. I found a really good luma tem with 4 perfect svs I just gotta luma hunt for a male now....oh god I want a perfect luma so bad.
Liked/Subbed You need to make sure you stay focused on this until global launch of TemTem so you can be one of the first major content creators. Amazing guide and very articulate. This is a top tier quality video that is an essential to any new player. I'm like 20 hours in and wondering if im wasting my time training my initial group of Tems from story mode. They all have garbage STVs etc. but they're like level 35+ each. Should I pause what I'm doing and go try to find beefier STVS and train those up? Or do I finish the quests out and then start hunting. My IGN is Hater. Hopefully we can be buds in the future. I believe in you though man. 10/10
Thanks for this comment :) I've been struggling with video idesa for Temtem recently and college has been piling up, so I've been on the slow side with uploads. I personally went through the current storyline without touching breeding or even worrying about stats at all. I started breeding post-game and only for competitive. I kept my story Tem in the storage boxes and will use them when new story comes out. Just a personal preference, I feel like having perfectly trained Tem for a campaign would be a bit too easy :). I would finish any quests that you can do, and then start building up stronger Tem.
@@Mai_Style Maybe you could make a video showing where secret items are (trash cans etc.) I know I'm a weirdo when it comes to clearing buildings of hidden items and I found 20k+ pansun worth of random items around the world and like 5-10 TCs. There's ones in obscure encounters and areas, super important ones in the trashcans in the jail in the mines, on the air ship both times instances, crystal skating items that you missed earlier on or idk im just thinking what you can do with what you have so far in TemTem
Whoever made that infographic, thank goodness. And thanks for guiding through the steps of it. Is it possible to perfect breed Anahir, or do we have to wait til the devs make it catchable?
People manage to breed perfect Anahir, but it's a Tem where you NEED to sit down BEFORE you start breeding and map out your SVs for it. Because you only get one shot, because you only get one Anahir. Even then, with gender RNG it's likely to come down to that very last Fertility before you get a perfect. For me, I'd much rather just grind Suns and buy one from somebody rather than potentially screw up along the way, and now I'm out ~50k at the end of the process with 0 perfect Anahir.
@@GachaMofo If you just look at it it's entirely possible, you just have to be very intentional with planning. Like, it always starts with perfect DEF and SPDEF. So next you need SPD. Then my only guess would be breed a fire/crystal Tem that's easily accessible to the point where it matches SVs with your Anahir, then you hope it's male and all your Anahir are female. It's rough, idk how to do it. But there's definitely ways to do it, you just have to find it.
How do you recommend we manage the price hike on the breeding gear? I know this has probably been discussed by now but I feel like with how much more expensive it is for the items it makes the process seem like so much more of a grind. Thank you for the great guide!
There are a few ways people are going around the price hikes. Some people are scrapping 7SV breeding entirely, while others are sucking it up and just grinding money more. It just depends on if you're a perfectionist or not honestly. There's a streamer named Carthh that came up with a more cost efficient way, but it takes significantly longer to breed the full process and it's only 6SVs not 7. I can link the spreadsheet to that method, and I could just make a guide on that one within the next few days too.
Can you make a follow up video talking about what to do with Dupes and temtem with dual-stat combinations that dont have an item that can carry the stats over? Such as sta spatk - I have a lot of these kind of tems at 7 fert but no clue how to approach using them. Also I think you should add the tip that if your tier 3 goes wrong in terms of gender, you can trade with someone for the opposite gender...the discord can be a great resource. Thanks for the guide.
Yeah I can do that, I was thinking about making an "updated" guide that focuses more on cost efficiency and different routes you can take to get the Tem you're looking for, even if they aren't perfect 7SV. One of the methods that somebody else found actually uses a STA/SPATK dual SV Tem, so I'll definitely make a follow up within the coming days.
So I was trying to come up with an answer to the first part of your comment while creating my next updated breeding guide, and unless the dual-stat Tems have helpful combos, they aren't really going to speed up the process very much, if at all. I haven't found a great use for them outside of just using them for 1 of the SVs, and hope the other gets passed down as well by chance, so you may save money on the next egg after. It may also just be a case of something I just can't see, or think of. I can't have all the answers to every question. So, I would ask around other creators that do breeding videos, or streamers, or even forums/Reddit, and see what they have to say. Because I can't think of an instance as of now, where off-combo SVs would be beneficial/efficient.
Yeah it sucks, that's why I made this a conceptual guide rather than a price efficiency guide :) People can decide what they wanna do with the info from this guide.
Thanks for the exremely helpful guide man! One question though, what happens if you catch a temtem with 3 or more perfect SV's? Also Lumas have more than 3
Lumas likely have 5-6 Fertility when tamed, I know that my 2 Lumas did have 6 Fertility to start. They're a great help in boosting the process if they have the correct SVs.
It would be more efficient to get 2 separate pairs of parents. This maximizes your fertility. Nothing wrong with using the same ones, just know that you will likely be 1-2 fertility short on whichever branch you use them the 2nd time on.
Any updates on established methods regarding passing egg moves while trying to breed for perfect SVs? I'm trying to breed a perfect Gyalis with 4 egg moves and my head hurts tryna map out all the components I need; mainly fertility.
Gather the Tem that have the egg moves you need, with 7 Fertility, and breed the egg moves in early in the process, usually the first steps. Once the moves are within the breeding line, they'll stay there. HP + STA (w/ Egg move) => HP/STA (eggmove) + SPD => HP/STA/SPD (eggmove) etc.
Growth enhancers are like, nonexistent in the current build of the game. I think each person can get like, 2-3 somewhere, but that's it. So, 3 levels max. The best place for EXP grinding post-game is the crystal shrine, where the crystal cult hangs out. You use your rock hook far east from the Narwhal crash site. Zenoreths give like 2-3k EXP per KO. If you're looking for EXP grinding before you finish the game, you just gotta go to your nearest wild area and fight the highest levels you can.
The best way to do it is to capture one for each use, however, you can use a maximum of 2 if each of them starts with 7 Fertility. It's just a preference really, I like to keep fertility even throughout the whole process, so I just capture more. Probably takes longer, but oh well lol
As far as I'm aware, you have to breed in each egg technique individually, unless one male knows multiple of the egg techniques. So, let's use Parent 1 (50SV HP) + Parent 2 (50SV STA). Parent 2 is the male, and contains 1 egg technique. If this pair breeds a female with both SVs, and the egg technique, that egg technique is going to stay in that breeding line, because the female determines the species in the egg. So, for this specific example, your next parent, the 50SV SPD parent, will have the 2nd egg technique you want to add on to this breeding line. Then you have an egg with 50SV HP, STA, and SPD with 2 egg techniques. Did that make sense? idk I tried my best, I wasn't fully certain on this when I created this video, so that's why the explanation is so basic.
Corret. You can either purchase your single 50 SV Tem on a trading area like Discord or a trading stream on Twitch, if you have the funds for that. But typically all you need to do is find a spot with a super high encounter rate of what you're looking for, and just capture / release everything, but keep every Tem with at least 1 perfect SV. Be sure to mark your pairs so you can keep track of who's who!
Great video! see with tier 2 for the perfect breeding? So say i used the atk and spatk with the speed one, and then sta + hp with the speed one. can it be the same speed tem or do i need seperate max speed tems for each one if this effects fertility?
If the SPD starts with 7 Fertility, it will work for both pairs no issue. If it starts with 6, you're taking away 1 Fertility from whichever pair you breed it with 2nd. So, If the Speed one started with 7 Fertility you can use the same one and it won't change anything. Ideally both of the HP/STA and ATK/SPATK pairs will have also started with 7 Fertility, so their eggs will have 6 Fertility, and since the lowest Fertility gets passed to the eggs, it doesn't matter if the Speed one has 7 or not. Because if it's used once, it'll go to 6, which doesn't give a lower fertility than the original pair, and if it's used a 2nd time, it'll go to 5, which is in line with the original pairs anyway. Did I explain that alright, make sense?
You didn't miss it, I skipped over them because they're 50/50. Generally, you'll need extra fert for trait breeding at the END of the process, for Tem that share SVs so you can actually use the trait DNA strand, which is hard to do. Unless it's absolutely make or break for that specific Tem, you can typically roll your luck and be fine, because you're gonna be selling your breedjects for some profit anyway. Traits are trickier because you could technically get the 1 wrong trait on every single Tem throughout the breeding process, and now you don't have anything that shares SVs, so using the Trait DNA strand will screw you on SVs instead of the Trait. TLDR: I don't know much about trait breeding with perfect SVs, I like to place my RNG into traits rather than SVs, so i didn't cover it.
If you want a 7SV perfect then yes, the stat combos that allow you to skip steps are: HP+STA, ATK+SPATK, DEF+SPDEF, SPD+ATK, SPD+SPATK. And depending on how you breed there are a few others, but these are the primary ones.
I've been capturing a lot of Raibers (fire temtem) in Anak Volcano. I was looking for temtems with 50PVs to breed a perpect Raiber. Here comes the problem: Almost all of them are male. Actually, I only got ONE female with 50PV. Is it normal? I didn't pay attention to the sex of wild temtems, but almost all of them are male. At least for Raibers. It will take me months! I'm done with this :(
Yeah, Raiber is one of, if not, THE most difficult Tem to breed. It has something like an 80% male:female ratio. I highly recommend just buying a perfect Raiber rather than going through the stress of breeding. I believe the same is Kinu, but with a higher female:male ratio.
