I just got mine from Temu. You have to “charge” it either in the sun or hold it up to a bright light. Then take into a dark space. It is soft and hope to make a Jellyfish with mine. 🙂
Hi Darla, try putting the yarn under a light first, then turn the lights out and then it will glow. All glow in the dark yarns have to be placed under the light first. Same with LB glow in the dark. Try it again but put it under the light first, then let us know if it works after that.
Darla I cannot wait to see what yarn you picked up from Teemu? I think if it glows in the dark the yarn would make a really cute headband for Halloween! Darla I see some little specks of light Almost White in the pink yarn while you're in the bathroom with it?
It works good for amigurimi . I’ve done a few little sunflower keychains with it. Not sure if I would use for a wearable though. I bought the yellow and green.
Darla I think you have to put it in the sunlight for a bit or close to a light source for it to glo. If you're not happy with it you could send it back. Take care, I hope you have a wonderful day.
I have a yarn that reflects bright light, like headlights etc. I made my daughter in Law some headbands for when she goes jogging in the colder months. Along with all the other reflective items she wears. If you hold it under a lamp or light bulb for a few , my guess is that it will glow then. Take care xxJane 🐑
I had a thing for glow in the dark items when I was a kid, and the advice was you need to charge them up under artificial light beforehand to get them to glow. It’s a shame that advice wasn’t on the label. How effective this product is under those conditions, I don’t know. I don’t really trust Temu anyway but I know other retailers sell this yarn and other brands exist.
I consider that a Big Fat Fail!😮 Sorry you wasted your money! One day someone will actually create glow-in-the-dark yarns! What a true disappointment!😢
