!! Good Video. Tweeters are a copy of the DTI-DT20 Tweeter ( 200watts max by the way ) and the speakers might be cheap aliexpress but it seems you overpaid because the seller on Temu had a dropship to them and then ship to you. The Sub Looks ok and sounds ok but the AMP is clearly Shit. Just look at the sub Jump when you switch the power on.
Not in a million years are they 200W max. Also, that amp is pretty decent. It's extensively tested by a lot of people. Every amp needs a soft starter to prevent "popping"
Thats 800 chinawatts on a 1khz sinus tone for a short period of time at best. Even though tweeters can often handle quite high amount of power IF they are fed through a good filter this defenetly is no 800 watts tweeter 😅
6:25 those "little tabs" are for the balanced charging, you want to use a BMS to charge them, not with just wired stuff to a power supply, you might damage the batteries or in a worst case scenario risk blowing the cells
Thanks for the video, its actually so much fun to see, how good are these speakers from temu, i challenge you to try to make either PA woofer in doors from temu, see how it sounds, or possibly make a wall with 4x12/4x15 from temu subwoofers :D Would be funny to see how much SPL wise can they shoot
So im now finishing up a video where i use the speakers in a small portable build, should be up tonight! Then itll be a case of what do we do next! More temu, alibaba, wish etc
Unless my eyes deceive me I didn't see you hook up the crossover board ... so how did you run everything... and what was the point of having those batteries ... you have a good bench power supply...
lol, i had some cheap "Road Gear" 10" subs from Walmart back in the 90s, i put them in a long box that fit behind the seat of my 2 door pickup truck. they actually sounded great, i moved them into home speakers and still use them today lol. so ya, it's actually about how you use them. even the cheap stuff can be good for starting out or testing.
@mosmak I had six of those road gear subs in my crown vic they got down for what they were at the time. It was a temp set up and I still have them 😂😂😂 there now in my daughter's car.
Nice, I'm huge in car audio as well. Doing a 6th order wall with 2 18's in my bmw. I had 2 12's Ina 4th order that was doing 152+db. Going for 160db @32 hz now
The small terminals on the battery pack are for balance leads on a BMS. Charging and using Lithium Cells without an BMS is dangerous, as a BMS has Protection against Overcharge, Overdischarge, Overcurrent, unbalancing of the Cells, ... All things which can lead to the Cells combusting. What you got there isnt a battery pack, it's a bomb.
This little tabs on your battery are for connecting BMS. Loads of 💩 you have said about charging it. Cells are at 3.9V as this is recommended storage charge. Fully charged cells should be at 4.2V. Also cells shouldn't be soldered as high temp will damage them. They are spot welded.
I never claimed to know what i was doing haha. At 4.2v the bank would be over the max input voltage so 4v a cell is fine. I now have a bms and am seeing how it goes
You can always cut 1 cell of your pack. Charging them to 4V each should extend their life, but I don't know about a charger that will allow you to set the max Volt per cell. All automatic chargers will stop at 4.2V.
The sound quality of 1.75 inch speakers sounds better to my ears : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PFE8yboLvxU.htmlsi=6N86IPcaY1GBJtZb aiyima's 1.75 inch flat cone speakers can also reproduce treble sounds. I think 6 1.75 inch speakers + large cabinet would be great. 👌👍
Damn, Pioneer clones even. Nothing like the originals though. They even used the old Pioneer wording: "The Art of Entertainment" Blatant rip-off. Anyways, those 5.25" speakers are more like 20 watts. Parker the Basshead did some in-depth testing of these. Really not that powerful at all, but they do get loud for the price.
@@PacmanBasshead by the way less than 12 hours before i watched you vid i bought a 2.1 amp (with real texas instruments tpa3116 ic's ) from aliexpress for the secound time bcs when one of my best fiends didnt had any high qouality amp i gave it away for free for him 😅
Haha, ive got a few i plan to fix myself! Ive also had them literally explode in my face and touched 300v rails, so..make sure you have a scope and a current limited supply!
Haha, itll be sealed im afraid! Ports outside just cause unloading and where the cone is so small the Q will be really high so a port wont do it any favours
@@PacmanBasshead depends on the speaker's t/s parameters. some small woofers benefit from a ported/passive radiator enclosure more than from a sealed one
Would love to see the boombox I can offer a few pointers since I've been playing with these amps a while you'll be surprised because that battery if of any decent quality will last about 7 hours also I don't know If you're able to order from parts express but they have a 6.5 woofer I think yd166 or something for under $10 and they are awesome little things.
You can't measure impedance with a multimeter on resistance. A multimeter only measures DC resistance. Impedance is a measure of AC resistance. You need an impedance meter. And it varies with frequency.
Agreed...the number you got was just DC resistance. Not in any way an accurate representation of impedance, which is a combination of AC reactance, DC resistance and AC frequency.
@@PacmanBasshead this is a lot more advanced, impedance is resistance over ac at a given frequency. Comes to speakers the nominal impedance is somewhere close to the smallest impedance reading (bcs thats what puts most load on the amplifier)
@@PacmanBasshead and also the cap in serial is a first order high pass filter the cutoff frequency depends of the capacitance. 1st order is approx.-3db/octave
If they are cheap enough, put a ton of electronics that use Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other wireless technologies. If it makes loud beeping noises it’s unshielded and they cheaped out
You are doing pretty good with what you know... Be very careful of heat on the batteries, they can explode, or just not work to well after the heat of a solder iron. Those little amps are very amazing. I bought a similar one from E-bay. Be wise and don't run them without speakers on all of the outputs or an 8 ohm load on each one at least, or the amp chip will burn out. There are three stereo chips. One for 2 tweeters, one for 2 mids and one bridged up for the single sub. If you build an enclosure and intend on pushing it hard try to have the heat sink exposed or have it fan cooled. Also mine had the Blue tooth option built in.
“I bought some more shit off Temu!” Nearly spat my mouth full of tea 😂😂😂 My first watch of your stuff, after the strong opening I hit the subscribe. Keep em coming👍🏻😁
A while back i built a slightly higher end speaker setup based on a TPA3116 amp, two Dayton RS100-4 drivers, two Dayton 1" Tweeters, and an 8" Dayton subwoofer. For the speaker cabinets i built a pair of 4ft tall Cyberg Needle type (folded Voigt Pipe transmission line), and people are blown away when i play them. They can't believe the sound i can get from two tiny 4" speakers.
A lot of shit is made in China so it's always possible to get some decent gear. If it's cheap, I wouldn't trust it. If it's more expensive, there is a good chance it's probably decent quality.
Bahaha When your Temu ad come up, the next second the same ad came up for me 😂 Mad video bro, thanks heaps for checking them products out, was rather curious as to how they would go.. Will follow on to your "Temu boom box video" Get ya another view to get more stuffs ✌️
there's some problem with the amplifier please replace the inductor on the stereo channel with a quality 22uh. it will decrease the harshness of the tweeter because the lowpass filtering at the output cuts around 16khz
Thankyou for commenting 🙂. The point of the project is to show that anyone can do it, most people wont know how to replace an inductor so for this ill leave it as it is, but thats really interesting, thankyou!
The tweeters are attempting to rip off pioneer if you look at the model number format and the fonts used on the box. I would fry every single speaker in this video is literally seconds in my car lol, it would be a magic smoke fest!
Be good yo each others: slams temu products on the floor saying they are not worthy haha Ive purchased a lot of amps from there and I am honest when I say I wowed every time when playing songs
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jGs6lT1WfoY.htmlsi=9ckRyrpRlWsL-3eb I have done something like this before. 48x 1"x3" 3 watt speakers and 24x 1" piëso tweeters on a verry cheap amp. At about 1:51 you hear it short without the bass messing with camera mic. Kost me about 65 euro's! The whole video is kinda fun. 2x18" on 3kw.
If that little amp you show at the start gives 30-40w you messured it wrong. All ch driven at 20-20.000Hz into 8 and 4 ohms within 0,05% THD are the requirements.
800w, never, that's louder that a disco at full Volume. I can't wait to hear the Boombox though. Will It be as good as my original Sony from back In the day. Used to rock the block with that thing.
I'm thinking abaddon bonnett is needed. I'm surprised at the sound quality both clarity and bass sound pretty decent for cheap n cheerful sound system. 😊
Those damn Temu ads man....i have a neighbor that keeps buying random crap from Temu,he comes to me to show him how to use them and he ends up giving them to me for free because he realizes he has nothing to do with them. I already have 2 chinese spying cameras, fake speakers and iPhone clones taking up space in my storage because of him lmao
