In this video, Sam runs through what changes we saw in pre-season and how we can expect that to bring an improved team shape in and out of possession. This is where we need to see some real evolution from last season, so lets run through it. If you enjoyed the video please drop a like on it, lets try and reach 5,000 likes on this one 🏆
And people complain eth doesn't have a plan. Like any other managers, he does have a plan, and it works. We simply don't have players that can execute it
I've been telling my friend about this throughout last season.he kept comparing United to city and Liverpool and even spurs, so I asked him which of those managers/coaches have inherited players from 5yrs ago? He couldn't respond. 10hag has players that go way back to Mourinho!!! How do you work with that?
Last season’s centerbacks underpinned that. Slow, poor technically, hardly gave Onana breathing space, practically on the goal line with him. ETH needs fast, brave centerbacks to get anywhere near a game plan. Maguire Lindelof Evans lays waste to that. He’ll be lucky to make it till Xmas with them lot
@@briankenome Inheriting 5 year old players is fine if they suit the style or are just high quality players. Ange wouldn't have complained if he inherited Kane alongside Son, but that's quite the difference from Inheriting McFred Maguire and Lindelof.
@@briankenome United needs to ship out a few, they bloating squad space and not good for team morale and building. It’s a unattenable situation. United defence was shambles, the mistakes, the ineptitude and just pure lack of football brain. The defence playing that deep made Casemiro position difficult with that amount of space in the middle to cover. I watched the matches and felt bad and sorry for United midfielders. No midfielder would endure such a horrendous match
For ten Hag’s sake Sam, he will need to coach us this season because it didn’t happen until the cup final! If a player doesn’t conform to his pressing tactics, especially up front and specifically Rashford, then substitute them and bench them until they meet his demands. Too many players out of form last season kept their place. This season, that has to change massively!!
Id argue with anyone that SAM is the best united channel at the moment ,his so creative and versatile in his shows which is very different from Mark nor Alice footbal Id describe them like this : SAM -(versatile ) Mark -( for the laughs ) Alice - ( gets straight to the point about lastest updates without dragging thngs ) I watch all of them and respect all their work 👍but sam 👌🔥
@@rako717 I wouldlove it if we sign Andre from Fluminense but I'm sure that they'll sign Ugarte. We don't really do those South American market i don't know why
Sam. You're observation is right. 424 (but it's a fluid formation). Ten Hag's tactics are actually starting to improve. It's a calculated gamble. Our biggest problem is personnel. When we do a mistake, we easily get punished.
Sander berge makes a lot of sense if we are going to be looking to switch play consistently, as he is really at delivering that ball, the best in Europe last year.
Biggest positive from Pre season was United out of possession. 4-2-4 press has been very good and overall the attitude much better. The intensity, pressing and chasing after the ball as a unit is exactly what we have to see on a regular basis. Get our best back 4 in, then we will see that back 4 push high aswell and be aggressive.
The betis game really impressed me with our pressing. Didn't really let them play and we were compact. Along with scoring 3 goals in a first half which we don't do. If we can keep a similar style and consistency to that I think we can do bits this season
Great recap. I love it. Always thought this idea of minimum width is crap. Excuse my French. Creating width, maximum width, with players hugging the touch line is the way to go. As the defence spread to defend wide channels, half spaces are created. If they don’t mark the wide areas, you get crosses in. Hopefully, we get all this working in the opening game. City on Saturday will be a good test to see if we’ve progressed
In other words, we are f*cked. If people believe these players we have are good enough to carry it out then they just set themselves up for disappointment.
And this why I like your chanel, and is subscribe, keep up the good work... 👊🏽 Oh, did you hear what they might do with old trafford, they taking your idea
What I really like about this potential set up is that it means Casemiro won't be isolated in large spaces so much. With a player alongside him in midfield along with a higher defence and a forward line that looks more to a mid press rather than a high press. Casemiro has great experience and good ability, but he doesn't have the legs to cover large spaces anymore. By having more bodies around him he can still be a very good player for us. This shape/system should give us more stability and control in games, which should lead to us conceding less shots and ultimately goals, while giving us a better platform to create more chances, and hopefully score more goals.
United honestly started playing with a style now. And pretty close to ETH Ajax. He just needs proper cb and cdm who can carry the ball forward from Onana.
The previous season lacked consistency in build-up, attacking, and defensive shape. However, it seems Ten Hag, alongside Ruud van Nistelrooy, has developed a new tactical style inspired by Cruyffian ideologies. The team is now divided into two equal hexagons, with midfield pivots common to both, enabling creative passing combinations, effective pressing, and overloads.
You guys are crazy. David Ornstein even came out with a piece talking about how some players refused to do what they were told last season but no, lets blame TenHag 😳
@@briankenome read slowly... take your time... if you think analytics are not done like this where people will go to any means to gain information on an opposition, why did Canada fly Drones to see how the other teams warm up in the Olympics... crowdsourcing information from people who supports a club is the best way to figure where a clubs weakness is... How many times do we say something months before its relevant and it becomes relevant later on
@@xia-vyandaniels1533Except nothing Sam said is unknown. This is a fan entertainment channel. Not a tactical nerd channel. These aren't detailed tactical insights that teams would find especially useful. Flying drones over practice however would provide that. Bugging dressing rooms as well. Hacking their tactics software. Those are information even Man United does not share with RU-vidrs. So Sam is safe.
@@farhadchaudhry Just put the fries in the bag... I like the video and deem it so good they can watch it and decide a way to make it useful the depth is deep enough to actually look for weaknesses, its not that deep
At this point they are basically the same team as they were last season, minus Varane and Arambat. Like ok different tactics, but can they execute it?...
Those with any common sense & logic can see what Ten Hag is trying to do the style of play he's implementing but there are a few players within that squad that just aren't capable of playing how Ten Hag wants but it's hard to sell them cos of the obscene wages thst the old regime gave them. Still already I can a big improvement in our style of play the patterns etc
Real Madrid chase Mbappe for almost 5 years plus, so I don’t mind if we go back to FDJ on a suitable price and if he accept a pay cut on his wages. And if the FDJ news is a mind game by INEOS to make PSG drop the price for Ugarte, then so be it. 👌
Can’t wait for Martinez and Shaw to get injured, leaving us unable to do any of this ^^ and we end up having to rinse and repeat last season 😅 New signings or we revolt. We HAVE been duped! Sacked a bunch of kit store workers and canteen workers; selling naming rights to the stadium, and couldn’t sign a cheque. This is the Glazer’s world still And we’re just living in it. INEOS just doing all the stuff Joel couldn’t cos we would have kicked off. Repeat, we are being duped.
@@dimebag2102 I know, mate. Point I’m making is more how has it come to this? A “takeover” is usually followed by a spree. But this wasn’t a takeover. We’re still crocked by our owners, and now we can all see it for what it is imo. Duped.
Tbh I still don’t think Eth is the right manager for us Maybe to develop young talents he’s probably one of the best but not an elite manager like ancelloti , pep, Klopp
Can this fan base stop all this tactical video of Manchester United we are selling our team tactics out cheaply to opposition managers without making them work for it .. let’s be smart
We need to stop conceding so many goals, we need to score a lot more goals, we need to control the game better, we need squad depth. None of this addressed
@@Mopark25 l am patient, l would have preferred this season we sold and let go of a lot of players. we have to many players on high wages, injury prone and not suitable for the club anymore. just seeing some players since 2014 van gaal era, we have a long way to go.
try to sign manu kone. He is typical of destroyer, ball stealer and tchouameni / camavinga copy. He's aggresive like ugarte. He is a complete midfielder.
The tactic and plan is clear for all to see but with Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Evans, McTominay, Mejbri, Casemiro, and Eriksen? It will unfortunately NEVER work. And we all know who’ll sadly pay the ultimate price. Smh!
This is literally why we let go of ole, becus he played 2 holding mids.. and we brought in ETH to play a similar system to city & liv with one holding mid… so what, we back to where we started and these clowns calling it a new & improved system that will work better smh 🤦🏽♂️. Yes it will work better, we already knew… but it’s not gona break down teams who play deeper.. we’ve been through this whole cycle before fml
A Manchester United manager cannot be Tactically all over the place all last season. That is unacceptable, the best managers hardly ever make tactical errors....that's why they're at the biggest clubs . Any Premier league manager would have done better than 8th with our squad, cos they would have changed the midfield structure.
