Alec Wilder (b. 1907 d. 1980) was one of the first composers to write for the tuba seriously and largely for the legendary Harvey Phillips. As well as the eponymous "Effie Suite" (and it's several sequals) he wrote a sonata and a concerto and these delightful "Ten Tiny Trios" although I know virtually nothing about the circumstances in which they were composed as I haven't been able to find anything about them on the net or on RU-vid which is why I have had the audacity to post this multi-tracked performance created during lockdown. Its not great but its better than nothing.
